Even if you go with the lowball quotes from that article, they are still at 30.00 an hour without including the bennies. I know guys that have been in the auto repair industry for years that don't make that. And they have FAR more invested in their trade (I.E. tool investment and far more extensive training/experience) than someone on a repetitive assembly line.

Bottom line, Unions can be good and bad.

For Elvis, they would be good at his point in time. For the auto industry, they are top-heavy, and bad at this point in time...
