Why is it that all commercials lately have to be concering anti-drug stuff or erectile dysfuction (i.e. Cialis)? Getting kind of annoying. Anyone else notice this?

You'll see more ads for prescription drugs because the baby boomer generation is getting older and now that's the area that'll reap the benefits just like the music industry did back in the late 50's - early 60's. That's why all these erectile pills are around. Baby boomer men are getting to the age where it's hard ot get it up and they don't want to give up sex.

The anti-drug ads have always been around for our generation and broadcast channels are required to have a certain amounts of time set aside for PSA announements.

The TRUTH ads are the result of a lawsuit against tobacco companies. People know that smoking can cause cancer, willingly buy/light up, and then they sue the companies for damages. Go figure. But yeah, part of the companies' penance is financing and getting those commercials aired to warn people of the dangers of smoking. You'd think they would put a warning on the box or something...

I support the TRUTH ads and the anti-drug stuff but there's just SO MANY anti-drug ads that gets me thinking, "ok...got the point. Doesn't concern me."

It's amazing though, that some of the illegal drugs have far less side effects than the stuff they push on TV.
