No Panama but a few other Pat Boone 'metal' classics here...

www.miserablemelodies.com

Linda McCartney's classic backing vocal performance on 'Hey Jude' is there too !:)

I remember Pat said in an article that "Panama" was the only song on his "Metal Mood" CD where he had to change the lyrics, that is, clean up the lyrics. Part where Dave sings about an offramp straight into her bedroom. Neat! That CD's a hoot, BTW, IMO!

I plan on listening to In A Metal Mood by Pat Boone when I get the chance which is a novelty album with his crazy covers of hard rock classics of Panama & Smoke On The Water but this clean cut former 50's teen idol had more balls as an artist than Donny Osmond.

Its funny how they ended up using his version of Crazy Train for "The Osbournes"

They actually used to be neighbors, and Ozzy reckons he was the
best neighbor he's ever had. The Prince of Darkness best neighbors
with Pat Boone !!!!! LMAO :D

Thats too funny..

Is it just me or is "Pat Boone's Panama" the most bizzare thread title ever?

I haven't listened to In A Metal Mood in ages. His version of Holy Diver is as weird as humor gets. Smoke on the Water is funny as well. Dio helped with the backing vocals on HD and I recall Blackmore adding his magic to Smoke.

This is obviously a spoof album, but some people still don't get the joke. If you read some reviews, people are actually PISSED OFF about it! "How dare he...." Which only makes it more funny.
