A) We can't verify the legitimacy of his claim the he indeed has a son in Iraq

B) He can't spell "Chaney" correctly, which undermines his credibility as an informed and educated citizen

C) I'm quite certain the communist/socialist goons at Demo rallies work to quell the Republican/opposition gadflies who stand up and try to ruin their festivities too...

It's not as if the BCE has Brownshirts just walking down the street, kicking dogs, beating old ladies, and burning down synagogues... those things might be on the 'to do' list, but it isn't happening at the moment... lol

Personally, I'm all for free speech, yada yada yada... but if you are a Republican hanging out to menace the Demos at their campaign get togethers... expect an ass-kicking... and if you are a Demo at a BCE rally, expect the same if you get out of line or try to distrub the peace... I mean, this is common sense... just like you don't go to a Raiders/As game if you don't want to get beat, heckled spit on, or have chairs thrown at you... same difference... lol

You beat me to it.

Smell that...??? Smells like bullshit.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet this guy doesn't have a son going to Iraq. Left wing kooks have a long history of protesting using fake BS like during the Vietnam War when "Vietnam Vets" protested the war.

But, even if I'm wrong and this guy's son is going to Iraq, my answer is "So what?". Was he drafted?

A staffer for John Kerry tore up a pro-life sign held by a protester at a campaign rally in Florida after it apparently was noticed by the presidential candidate.

Rebecca Porter says her sign, saying "My Abortion Hurt Me," was ripped to shreds just moments after the Massachusetts senator noticed it at the event in Tampa last week, reported LifeNews.com.

A similar sign held by her friend Cindy also was torn apart, she said.

Porter said Kerry was "shocked and surprised" to see her sign, but his campaign has refused to comment despite four attempts by LifeNews.com

"I'm very disappointed that he will not acknowledge what happened at his rally," she told LifeNews.com

"As a presidential candidate for all the people – including me – I think he should speak to his staff and apologize to Cindy and I for their actions and guarantee that it won't happen again to other women."

Porter said she intentionally made her way to a place where Kerry could see her as he was shaking hands.

"Then it happened," she said. "He reached up to shake a hand in the back and his eyes went up to my sign. He read it and then he looked into the crowd to see who was holding it – and he looked me directly in the eyes."

"I hope he saw my pain. I was not angry, just pleading with him to understand," Porter said. "You could see the shock and surprise on his face."

Within seconds, she said, a member of Kerry's campaign staff grabbed her sign, saying "You can't have that sign here."

Porter said she let go after the sign tore and the staffer then ripped it to pieces.

"He wouldn't even let me have the pieces," Porter said.

Porter, Florida director of a group spreading testimonies of women hurt by abortion called Operation Outcry: Silent No More, said she wants to know Kerry's thoughts about her message.

"As a supporter of abortion rights, how does he feel about the fact that abortion does hurt many women and men," Porter told LifeNews.com. "Abortion takes the life of our children and leaves many very wounded individuals."

LifeNews.com said in its attempt to get a comment, the Kerry campaign's Florida office said the national office in Washington fields all media calls. Then an assistant in the Washington office said he would have to find a Florida representative to handle the request. After failing to call back, LifeNews.com spoke twice with the Washington press assistant, Adam Abram, who would not comment and refused to provide a representative who would.

Any fascist worshiper that supports the assault taking place in those photos can go fuck themselves.

I've had it with the mindless Republican drones justifying every Nazi act that their party does. Every amendment shredded. Stand up and take some responsibility for your own party's actions.

You know, you can can mindlessly back the leaders who want your very freedom to vanish. You still have some of that freedom. But, you will pay the price later for your actions or inactions. You will either see that you were wrong or still be one of the lemmings headed towards the end of that bridge. Either way it will be too late.

Just because he wasn't on the ground bleeding to death doesn't mean that it's acceptable.

They are restraining him forcefully. Even by the slight chance that they were security which they don't look anything like, covering someone's mouth to shut them up is unacceptable and definitely would classify as assault.

Maybe it's his own friends trying to make the guy from making a further idiot of himself? Just because FORD declares it's the ICE doesn't exactly make it so. You are free to come down off your high horse and start gathering some facts before you make blanket accusations against people here. :)

Man, do I have questions this morning. I "photo A" the man in no way appears accosted or having bodily harm done to him in any way.

Photo B (which hurts Fords arguments so badly, it HAS to be a photoshop of a "Plant") looks a LOT more like the guy is in some pain and being assualted.

Pink, since WHEN did stopping someone disturbing the peace at a peaceful rally in a non-violent way become "unacceptable"? Oh,cause you don't LIKE IT...I see...

In the end it boils down to this - people doing their stupid protests (at Bush OR Kerry rallies) have a right to do it, but they also have to be realistic about the consequences and not act shocked and indignant about being pummeled. People showed up to hear the guy they support, not some moron in desperate need of attention. Let’s be realistic - if either campaign just opened the floodgates and let any person come into those rallies they wouldn’t get two words out without an interruption and an ensuing melee.

Drunk Kerry Supporter Arrested For Causing Incident on Airline

LI man arrested in air rage case

By Alfonso A. Castillo
Staff Writer

September 16, 2004

A spirited debate on presidential politics aboard an Alaska-bound airplane has turned into an international incident, and left a Huntington Station retiree locked up in a Canadian jail on criminal charges, authorities said yesterday.

Michael Husar, 58, was arrested Friday after allegedly having an alcohol-induced bout of air rage aboard a Northwest Airlines flight to Anchorage, which was diverted to Winnipeg, Manitoba, because of the incident.

Husar, a retired registered nurse at the Northport VA Medical Center, faces local Manitoba provincial charges of causing a disturbance and criminal mischief that caused damages over $5,000 Canadian, the latter of which is punishable by two years in prison. He also faces a less serious federal charge of violating federal aeronautics regulations.

"He's mad as hell," said Husar's Canadian attorney, John Corona, adding that Husar plans to sue the airline.

Husar boarded Flight 849 in Minneapolis on his way from New York to visit some friends in Alaska, his wife, Linda, said yesterday. Officials said Husar, a supporter of Sen. John Kerry, was engaged in a discussion on the upcoming presidential election with a woman seated next to him - a President George W. Bush supporter - when she became turned off by his belligerent attitude and complained to the flight staff.

The woman also did not like that Husar would touch her leg and shoulder when he spoke to her, authorities said. Corona said Husar had "had a few drinks."

Russell Ridd, supervising senior crown attorney for the Manitoba Justice Department, said that when flight attendants approached Husar, he became enraged, deliberately spilling a container of alcohol and engaging in "the boisterous behavior of a drunk."

Ridd said the pilot deemed the situation "a minor emergency" and called for an abrupt landing. An armed marshal sat next to Husar until the plane reached a Winnipeg airport, where Husar was kicked off and promptly arrested.

"It strikes me as a bit of an overreaction," said Corona, adding that Husar quickly calmed down on the plane after being reprimanded. "There was no threat or no violence. Certainly nobody was at risk safety-wise."

But Northwest spokesman Thomas Becher said the emergency landing was necessary. "Safety and security is our top priority," he said.

Husar posted $4,300 Canadian bail yesterday on the charges and was free to return home, on several conditions, including that he not fly or possess any alcohol. Corona said the airline is also seeking $10,000 in fuel costs from Husar.

At Husar's home yesterday, his wife said she was very concerned and upset over the incident, adding that she had only heard once from her husband, shortly after he was arrested. Linda Husar said it sounded as if he may "have had a little too much to drink," but she believed authorities overreacted. She said her husband, who worked at the VA hospital for 25 years, is a "very patriotic" Air Force veteran, who's recently been "disappointed" with President Bush. She also said Husar tends to be "animated" in conversations.

"I'm disappointed that his vacation got messed up," she said.

A prime example of the whorishness of the corporate media right here.

The man was an obnoxious drunk. end of story. His political affiliation is irrelevant, as is that of the woman he was arguing with.

The article mentions the man's an Air Force Veteran. Should we then infer from it that all Air Force vets are obnoxious drunks?

It would make as much sense as labeling the guy as a "Kerry Supporter".

Ok, so now we have the ICE harrassing people with no actual proof as to who is actually holding that man's mouth "assaulting" him and that's good enough to start a thread over, but condemn the media for pointing out what started their argument?
