Controversialist Michael Moore yanked C-SPAN cameras during a speech last week at the University of California.
Moore addressed students and faculty in Los Angeles as part of his "Slacker Uprising Tour" -- a 60 city tour primarily to swing states with the hope of wooing young people to vote for Kerry in November presidential election.
Although C-SPAN cameras were approved to shoot the event in its entirety Moore abruptly had the camera removed after 15 minutes.
Moore - whose blockbuster film FAHRENHEIT 9-11 featured his trademark camera ambush interview technique -- claimed he was in poor health and was giving a lackluster performance.
But sources say Moore presented exclusive footage during the session, footage that never made it into the theatrical version of his 2004 film. Footage that was to be aired exclusively during a high-profile pay-for-view election special. Not a "low-profile" C-SPAN cycle.
Moore is currently in pre-production on his next film, "Sicko," about the American healthcare system.
It looks like Moore wants to make more money with his special pay-per-view showing. That's weird, I thought he was a socialist.
