Controversialist Michael Moore yanked C-SPAN cameras during a speech last week at the University of California.

Moore addressed students and faculty in Los Angeles as part of his "Slacker Uprising Tour" -- a 60 city tour primarily to swing states with the hope of wooing young people to vote for Kerry in November presidential election.

Although C-SPAN cameras were approved to shoot the event in its entirety Moore abruptly had the camera removed after 15 minutes.

Moore - whose blockbuster film FAHRENHEIT 9-11 featured his trademark camera ambush interview technique -- claimed he was in poor health and was giving a lackluster performance.

But sources say Moore presented exclusive footage during the session, footage that never made it into the theatrical version of his 2004 film. Footage that was to be aired exclusively during a high-profile pay-for-view election special. Not a "low-profile" C-SPAN cycle.

Moore is currently in pre-production on his next film, "Sicko," about the American healthcare system.

It looks like Moore wants to make more money with his special pay-per-view showing. That's weird, I thought he was a socialist.

Of course Moore is in poor health. He's using all that cash he's making from his movie to invest in McDonald's stock.

His poor health is probably the fault of the BCE.

This should tell you where his interests lie. I'm sorry, but if he was so concerned to educate the people, why would he charge them in a PPV special? What about those without cable? Aren't all Americans important enough to hear his word?

The "Truth" has to be "edited" to fit the "story" err, "documentary".

Come on Ally, you don't give away the "best picture" for free until HBO or Showtime pay up.

Moore taking away cameras because the don't show him in the proper light (i.e. He is in poor health) is the height of hypocrisy, considering he has made a career out of imaginative editing and showing people in their worst light.

But on and on it goes....step right up for my Michael Moore Film Distortion Extravaganza....only 29.95 on PPV...

Seriously Michael Moore is a heart attack waiting to happen.

WHEN he does have a heart attack can we all agree that left wing conspiracy kooks will all say that the heart attack was somehow inflicted by the Republicans?

The fact that three of you have already raised the possibility is proof enough that you believe the BCE is fully capable of such things ;)

And I seem to remember hearing something about the PPV being cancelled. The footage that Moore probably did NOT want shown on C-Span was likely from his next project, "Sicko". I know that when he appeared here in Olympia in early 2002, he had previews of "Bowling For Columbine" with him, which was in production at that point.

Makes sense that he wouldn't want scenes from an unfinished film showing up all over the place, right?

Right. He wouldn't want anyone to see it before he had time to straighten out all his lies and creative edits.

I just wish all of these celebrities whether left or right would just SHUT THE FUCK UP!?!?!? Who the hell made them experts in defense and the economy? If I wanted an assesment of the economy, I'd get an opinion from either a business owner or someone who actually has a PhD in Economics with hands on expierience. Same thing for Defense, I'd either want a general or veteran's opinion or someone prominent who has succesfully brokered peace between nations. But NOOOOOOOO.... the press has to be sensationalistic and bring in a celebrity expert, I guess a person with actual lifetime expierience wouldn't rake in the TV ratings! Excuse me, but what the heck does a Doobie Brother know about Homeland Security?
