I love that any given song... can change the way you fuck. Come on, now; an even steady grind to Runnin' With The Devil or Yankee Rose is a lot different than drilling for oil to, say, Shyboy or Hot For Teacher.

Shallow bastards...

It's the interaction of sound frequencies and patterns that incite physical, emotional and mental responses. Music in it's simplest form is energy... energy is the source of life... it binds us, surrounds us, motivates us and moves us. The ability to create the right energy from music is a gift and a power... used in a positive way it is a very personal yet cool way to touch other people's lives.

Music can intensify one's mood, change one's mood, or remind you of things that have happened in the past.

I love a musical mood enhancement! I'm telling you, I can be pretty down and throw on some RnR and feel the endorphins rise. A boring house cleaning day can come alive with sound of MUSIC!

Scotty - I can't say I would know the original musicians without looking them up, so I don't really know. They really sounded great; voices & music. They even brought out the chick to sing Woman in Chains, which I heard was done only in NY and LA. There was like no promotion, I just happened to see it on the Q104 website, which is weird since they are never played on Q104. They are more likely to be played on KRock's ressurection lunch, but they didn't list it either.

Carmine - no, I didn't get a t-shirt. I don't usually get them anymore (I'm a cheap fucker).

Tears for Fears World Tour 2004/2005!

Allright new Question... who else have you seen live from the 80's and be honest!! Here are mine...

1. New Kids on The Block
2. Duran Duran
3. Madonna
4. Cindi Lauper
5. Powerstation
6. Fine Young Cannibals
7. Barry Manilow (twice...)

and on december 4th of this year...I am taking the wife to see Anne Murray at Turning Stone Casino( anniversary present, she loves her)

I saw Duran Duran around 1985. I know this will sound like bullshit, but my roomate's friend bailed on him, so I went. Got stuck in a horrible snow storm too! The storm was so bad the opening act never showed. They're so-so. I never bought an album, but I don't mind a couple of their songs.

80's bands - Classic VH (of course), Aerosmith (are they an 80's band?), Joe Perry Project (still got the shirt), U2 (great), Journey & Bryan Adams (I must be a poof), Black Sabbath w/Dio, Yes, as for punk I saw Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, & the Minutemen.

Probably saw a few more I can't think of.

Good - most Classic Rock, all Classic Blues, Zydeco , Jazz, the stuff that was considered "new age" in the 80's (fun to listen to)

Bad - the Doobie Brothers (bore me to tears), corny country tunes, todays pop music

Ugly - Most rap ( I do like some); Techno (puts me in a trance); Death Metal (not really music at all); Opera (ugh)

did I miss anything?
