DOA. What a lean, mean piece of hard rock THAT track is!

DOA.
without a doubt.

They're two completely different songs. DOA's a straight out hard rocker start to finish and "DTNA" is pop rock at it's finest.

You can't really compare the two. They are both great songs.

"DTNA" was VH's first big hit if I'm not mistaken.

Both are great tracks, but you just gotta love that solo in DOA!!!!!

I'm with you on that one. The intro riff on Dance The Night Away gets me every time. When I was 15, I bought a tablature guitar book and couldn't wait to learn it. 20 years later I still can't do it perfect.

But it's kind of like a mother picking her favorite child. You know she has one, but can't really admit to it.

Well, honestly, DTNA is something you play for your wife and DOA is something to rock out to

hey matt, i wanna pick Dance the Night Away too...my story was about the neighbour's red-hot but incredibly shy daughter when i was just 16...So unfair to compare this with DOA...DTNA is platinum pop-rock never surpassed by CVH itself ever again, let alone other copy-cat wanna-bes...DOA is a fantastic rocker with the most adorable DLR lyrical vibe...This would normally win with me everytime becos my heart is a life-long hard rock voter....Not this time...DTNA is all alone atop the hill for me....

Dance The Night Away for me. I have heard quite a few versions of it live and the back ground harmonies by Mike and Ed really carry the tune. Not to mention the catchy intro and finger tapping solo.

DeadOrAlive

Whoa various versions? Flippin' sweet, looks like I've got research to do

DOA all the way!!!! Dance tends to get the skip button from me these days. But I do like the live version from Phenix 1981 when someone throws a firework on stage and Dave gets pissed ands stops the song. haha. cool shit!

Love the both songs, I always think of spanish fly with DOA. I'll go with Outta Love Again, best song ever under 3 minutes!

DeadOrAlive

Outta Love Again... would that be the shortest "real" song that classic VH did??

As badass as both songs are I find myself rockin' out DOA a lot more than Dance the night away.

Depends on the weatha...both are fantastic songs...

Bottom line for me...

DOA is in my top 5 CVH tunes...

so I'd pick that based on overall...

but like I said...driving down the road...top down...rollin'...DOA...

relaxin' at home by the pool....

gotta roll with DTNA...

DOA for me

I OD'd on DTNA about 20 years ago, you know...one of those things...kind of like when I drank a fifth of So Co....never liked it the same after that. :D
