What do I want for Christmas.

I want a new computer desk.
A office chair.
A bottle of JD.
And David Lee Roth to come to the UK.

I hope I'll get all of them but the last one might take a while!

I am not a creative shopper. The people on my list get cash. ;)

I read somewhere about the number of gift cards purchased that never get redeemed. I may have to go see if I can find that article.

Do you people redeem your gift cards?

Are they tacky?

A DVD-burner would be nice. A Peavey 5150 II head would be fantastic. But I'll settle for nothing as well...

I'm easy to please.

I have a $50 gift card to Sam Goody I haven't spent yet. I'm going to go pick up Shaun of the Dead on DVD when it comes out the 21st. Early Christmas gift to myself. woot!

Mom makes us come up with a 3 item list with one alternative. On my list this year is

Amtrak ticket to Charleston for January
Naruto DVD boxset
Clubland 5
Clubland 6

Mom helped me pick out gifts for bf's mom, so I assume I'm going.

"LAFAYETTE, La. Nov 26, 2004 — The busiest shopping day of the year turned out to be a sticky affair. Vandals apparently glued the locks on dozens of Lafayette's biggest retailers, preventing managers from opening up promptly on lucrative "Black Friday." Hundreds of shoppers, some of whom arrived before dawn, were forced to wait outside Barnes & Noble, Old Navy and other stores while managers summoned locksmiths."

LMAO. That sucks... for the retailers and shoppers alike. But its still funny to me. I had to work.

I-Pod Mini. I can't wait to load it up with Van Halen, DLR solo, Deep Purple, Dio, Rainbow, and Sabbath.

Anyone here have one? What are your thoughts?

The greatest gift of my holiday season so far....

My son is a pretty selfish kid most times... his list is always a mile long, and in years past, it has been a big dissappointment for me to watch him tear through packages getting almost everything on his list and not being one bit impressed. Of course he is always polite, and says his thank yous and so forth, but you can see in his eyes he is always wanting something more.

Sunday he came home from his dads house and asked me if I remembered what was on his list... (so far, there is only one x-box game he has asked for). I reminded him what he had asked for and asked if there was something he might like to add.

He said NO!!! but that his dad had asked what he wanted for Christmas, and he couldn't remember what he had said.

Is this progress?

For starters, I'd like Christmas to go the fuck away and stay there.

I hate this fucking season.

Bah Humbug...

Sometimes I do too... but then I remind myself that the season is about peace and love and good wishes and not all this commercial shit that seems to take over.

Muppets Christmas Carol helps...

The fact that most of my family is gone and/or scattered to the four winds doesn't do a lot to help my mood during this time of year. I have to keep up appearances for the kids' sake, but my wife knows damn well I could give a shit less. Christmas is a holiday for the retailers and I could give a shit less, to tell the truth. As far as the spirit of "peace" and "love" and "happiness" and "togetherness" and the other crap, I'd love to know where it's at, because all I see is the very worst in people this time of year. Mad dash to the malls, pushing and shoving and outright stealing presents out of my shopping cart, yelling and screaming, fighting lines...fuck this! :)

I say let somebody else have the fun!! HA HA!! :D
