View Full Version : How do they measure TV screens?? WTF?!?!

I went to Best Buy because they have a great sale on cdrs, I also was doing some TV shopping. I am there with my measuring tape to make sure that the tv that I want will fit into my entertainment center and their signs say that they are 24, 27, 32 inches and so forth. I go to check them out..........there was a 27 in. where the whole tv front didn't even measure 24 WTF :confused: , so I go to see some others and none of them are what they claim. How do they measure these tubes??

Sorry for the silly rant.......I just found it weird....

They use the standard Dick measurement system...

Take the actual measurement in inches, add 3 inches, multiply by ego squared and then divide by 10...
