Which Cola is better Pepsi or Coca Cola Classic? I'm firmly in the Pepsi camp. I find Coke to have a flat taste while Pepsi has a really sweet taste. Coke never had the kick to it that Pepsi has.

I always disagree with people on this one. But I always preferred Pepsi. I think it just tastes better. It just tastes less chemical than Coke.

Does anyone remember Crystal Pepsi? The song 'Right Now' kinda killed it. Pepsi has a unique sweetness to it while Coke is more mellow. President's Choice is pretty good. But I'll go for Pepsi mixed in
with some of the 3 J's. (Johnnie, Jim, or Jack)
But dominantly, I'll go for a cherry cola any day of the week!

Getting passed the whole Van Hagar promotion for it, I loved Cystal Clear. To me, it was better than original Pepsi. From what I remember, it had a lemon taste to it, which is always a plus for me. I think they changed their formula at the end (which made it taste like 7UP) in a last ditch effort to salvage it.
I think I remember hearing Eddie, years ago, complain that he was black mailed by Pepsi Co. I think he said that if he didn't allow them to use the song they were either going to steal it (use it anyway) or use a knock off version. I vaguely remember this, can anyone confirm whether or not he said this?

Putting all the commericals aside (which definitely downgrades Pepsi's status) I would have to go with Pepsi. Even though I can drink both and enjoy them. Pepsi does not give you the gut rot which coke does.
Its like a engine oil, Pepsi is synthetic where coke is that refined crap that kills your engine a few thousand miles less.

Coke is so much better than Pepsi, it's not even close! I prefer Coke to Pepsi, but I also prefer Mexican Coke to American Coke! Mexican Coke is the only Coke I'll drink now days...it is far superior to American Coke. Coca Cola ruined American Coke when they started putting high fructose corn syrup in it! Mexican Coke, on the other hand, is like the Coke you had as a kid...still in the glass bottle, and still has real cane sugar in it like Coke is supposed to be made! Mexican Coke is the real thing!

On an added note, I believe the whole New Coke fiasco was a ploy to switch sweeteners without the consumer's knowledge...replace the sugar in Coke with the inferior high fructose corn syrup. Coca-Cola pre New Coke=cane sugar, Coca-Cola Classic=high fructose corn syrup.

Pepsi has the exact same coloring that Coke does. And Pepsi was made as an attempt to replicate the Coke formula. So I'm guessing it's just as green before the caramel coloring goes in.

LiveWire was good as well, Mountain Dew, Keeps pussing out and not releasing out on the same level as Code Red. I never understood that, It's successful, why not just realease it.

COCA COLA for sure. My teenage years was Pepsi. I quit drinking it when they switched the red & white can to the blue. To me it tasted different after that. Coke has a distinct cola flavor while Pepsi is just too sweet with no cola taste. I wish they still had it in the glass bottles. Nothing better than a Coke in a glass bottle straight from an ice chest with ice bits all around it.

They do...Mexican Coke! You can find it on the Mexican foods aisle of some supermarkets, or a local Mexican food store. I don't know about where you live, but around here Mexican Coke is abundant! They sell it at the local Kroger, and there are many gas stations that sell it around here as well. I very rarely drink the American crap, anymore.

Everytime I go to Mexico, I buy a bunch of them. There is 1 mexican restaurant here that also sells it, but they get mad when I go in and buy more than 1-2. But even in Mex they are beginning to switch to plastic bottles. Ah, the little things in life. Warm Summers, Ice Cold Coke in a glass bottle, and classic Van Halen playing on the car stereo. Doesn't get more American than that.
I do see the 8 oz glass bottles at the supermarket. But it's so damn expensive for baby Coke's that I usually don't buy them. I'll check the Kroger.
