Check it out folks, it just shows you can't keep a great band down. This is how reunions should be done. Sixx didn't drop the ball like Edward.

What a great song! Rock's back.

it shows really NO resemblance to their old sound at all, but the song is great.

Sounds more like Motley Creed.

And the AOL voiceovers throughout the song are annoying as fuck.

Vince has so much processing on his voice here he might as well be Cher. Dude, if you can't sing like you did when you were 20, then don't fake it, because you ain't gonna pull it off live.

Well, the song is nice... not any resemblance of their established sound at all, and NO guitar solo, which I never thought I'd complain about with Mick, but WHERE'S THE GODDAMN GUITAR SOLO?!?!!?? It's ok though... I'll download it for free, then delete it after I've heard 2 more times...

It's the best stuff Crue has recorded in a long time but it still gets three thumbs down.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Oh, well... At least they're touring. One good riff, but too radio-friendly for my tastes. Maybe that'll help in the long run.

"Bitter Pill" and "Ensalved" were their best post-Feelgood efforts with the four originals. Motley Crue '94 was their pinnacle (w/o Vince). And New Tattoo (sans Tommy) was a nice surprise.

Motley Crue are nothing but second rate Aerosmith/Kiss clones of the lowest common denominator who had some originality in their music, their image & their attitude as complete opposites of Duran Duran for the the MTV generation which is saying too much while this reunion tour will be huge next year it's NOT exactly like a Beatles reunion or a reunion of the original VH by a long shot!

Clay Aiken is cooler than Motley Crue which is saying a lot these days while their impact on rock is zero 20 years later but they're the heroes & the soundtrack for the first MTV generation. Shout At The Devil is their only great classic rock album no matter what theitr hardcore fans would have you believe & a Beatles, Eagles, Kiss, Sabbath & VH reunion is more important than a MC reunion Panamark.

Growing up a fan of both Motley Crue and Van Halen, I can honestly say, that this song is quite good. I liked it on the first listen, which is a rarity for me these days.

Oh, and as Panamark said, it definitely shits on all 3 of the new VH songs...and that, is something I never thought I'd say.

The best part of the Eagles is Joe Walsh and WAS Don Felder. They suck now. I hate country rock.

A Motley reunion is exciting because it brings "fun" back into concerts and music.

When did we say it was as big of a reunion tour as the Beatles, Eagles, KISS, Sabbath, or Van Halen? By the way....the Beatles never had a reunion tour, neither did Van Halen.

The Eagles, KISS, and Sabbath "reunion" tours were all a joke, by the way.

Would it be as big of a reunion tour as all 3 American Idol winners touring together? We know you'd be front row-center at that show!

A-The guy who says Clay Aiken is cooler than Motley Crue.

B-The people who make fun of the faggot mentioned in answer A.

Rock bad boys are coming
December 08, 2004

LOCK up your girlfriends, wives, fiancees and maybe even your grandmothers if they have a taste for tattoos and guitars.
Motley Crue, the self-described world's most infamous band and one of the biggest selling groups of the 1980s and '90s, is heading for Australia.

The four original members - Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars - yesterday announced they were reuniting for a world tour next year, with concerts slated for Australia in November and December.

The US band, whose hits include Dr Feelgood, Girls, Girls, Girls and Kickstart My Heart, hasn't played for six years.

"What's important right here, right now is the fans want it," said Lee, whose marriage to Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson made him a jail inmate and amateur porn star.

I haven't heard the new song yet. Not a huge Crue fan but I'd be interested to see the video. Seen them live a few times. I'll tell you one thing though--I've heard they are going to play arena's. IF this is true this is a colossal mistake. There is no way in hell the Crue will fill big halls. If they have any sense they'll play amphitheatres that hold in the 5,000 to 7,000 range. If they play full scale arena's they're in for a rude awakening in my opinion. I could be wrong but I just don't see the Crue packing arena's. No way no how.

DLR7884

Nobody can do arenas anymore.

DLR7884
Only the Stones and Pink Floyd would be able to.

U2 can also do arena's and do well. The problem with Kiss, F Mac, & The Who is that they've all toured pretty frequently over the last few years and there just wasn't much demand this year for them. When they did their first reunion tours they were very successful. Vhagar didn't do well because it's Vhagar. "Why Can't This Be Love" & "Dreams" just doesn't get the concert buying public in a frenzy. I'm not saying the downturn in concert business has nothing to do with bands having a tougher time on the road, that would be unfair. But Metallica didn't have any problems selling tix. Even Aerosmith & F Mac & Kiss will all be in the same range (if not better) than Vhagar when the Pollstar numbers are relased for per night average. When you consider these acts had all toured frequently it shows you how weak interest was for Vhagar. Also Rush tour will be similar to Vhagar's in per night attendance and they just toured 2 years ago. For Vhagar it's a case of not enough interest to begin with. And it will be the same for M Crue if they play arena's. I mean with the Crue it's their first tour in 7 years and it's the original lineup. But I'd bet they'll have trouble if they try to play arena's. There has been a downturn in the rock touring business which has been affected by the weak economy over the last 4 years, but ultimately it's easily as much to do with the fact that the bands having trouble have already hit these markets repeatedly or there just wasn't much interest to begin with (like Vhagar). Let's all be real, when Vhagar announced their reunion there just wasn't a buzz. And don't give me that crap about the band not promoting it. I saw commercials on cable tv for the (at the time) upcoming double disc set & tour, not to mention the coverage in magazines and the big ad in USA TODAY. It's not that people didn't have any money, it's that they didn't care to see Vhagar all that much. That is what killed their tour.

DLR ENGINE ROOM ----PAY CLOSER ATTENTION. I said (clearly) that Rush' tour will be similar to Vhagar's new tour when the Pollstar list is released for this year's top 100 tours. I forgot to use an apostrophe but I assumed it was clear to everyone that I was referring to Rush' tour this year and that since they had toured 2 years ago it shows just how bad Vhagar's tour numbers are since they will have similar numbers. You need to pay more attention before accusing someone next time. I'm well aware of the fact that Rush toured this year and my post implies this. Your comprehension skills are a different matter alltogether. How you could deduce something else is beyond me. You obviously didn't read carefully. Try again.

And by the way yes Rush' numbers this year will be pretty similar to Vhagar's when the Pollstar list is released. Rush (although more consistent from night to night) will not hit 10,000 per night for the tour. They will end up around 8,000 to 9,000 a night. Same area as Vhagar. Wait and see. The only difference is that Rush toured 2 years ago and this is not a reunion tour for them, hence the demand is understandably not as significant (or shouldn't be anyway) for them. All of this covered in my post above about "Arena's". .

DLR ENGINE ROOM thinks that T LEE is some kind of master drummer. No wonder he didn't understand my post about this year's touring season. I've been playing for 20 years, am a proud grad from P.I.T. and have seen T LEE live 3 times. Never was highly impressed. Anyone with enough money can make a drumset spin upside down. personally, I think it's smokin' that the CRUE iz back, and they will kick ass!!! I 'd rather see the CRUE anyday over those dried out, brain dead scags called Van Hagar!

I'm tired of all that Bullshit "Life Sux and I Hate My Parents" wannabe 3 chord Grunge Rock, now Hip Hop/rap/Rock, or whatever they wanna fuckin' call it.

I wouldn't underestimate the Crue and their fans. their fans wanted this and the CRUE responded! why would they waste there time, money and energy if there was no demand for it? think about it...

for their time, Motley had definetely one of the best live shows I have ever seen, and still to this day, nuthin' , IMO, has ever really come close to it, except the "1984" VH Tour with the KING ROTH!!! I seen these guys live 6 times and every time it was absolutely crazy...a typical wild Motley nite out! the drugs, major sex and sum good ole Rock N Roll...how can I forget it? LOL

Another reunion tour by the crue, big crap.
Another greatest hits album, that makes only 4. This one a double CD with 3 crappy new tunes (reminds me of some other assholes earlier this year)
Maybe in a year they can make another version of this album, one with digitally remastered tracks. Then they can redo it a year later with special enhanced features. And then in 3 years they can put it in another box set featuring the crappy albums.

They have been ripping their fans off worse than Van Hagar the last few years and if you think that this tour is going to be anything like their 80's hey-day then you're worse sheep than VAn HAgar fans.
