Who knows...but the AP told the BCS...that their poll may be detrimental to THEIR poll...

this can't be good...

or really good...

here's the link...

AP tells the BCS to fuck off! (http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/8023798)

The Poll won't be used in next seasons BCS...making a split champ all the more possible...

Now they are talking about some panel of coaches/athletic directors to choose the championship game.

The BCS system has made me lose interest in college football.

WHo knows how this will turn out, but it won't be good. I think they should just roll with the AP 1 and 2 and let them has it out every year. I don't even know anymore.

A panel of coaches?...

holy fuck....So let's say Michigan, Texas and California are on the blocks undefeated?

Who do you think the Big 10, 12 and Pac 10 coaches will vote for?

that won't work...

funny how they won't even TALK playoff...

The AP poll would put it strictly in the hands of the media...

that won't work either...

Much the same as Stoops position, he's done a complete 180 in the last couple of years. He used to big a big playoff supporter, now he's a BCS guy, wonder why?? :D

I don't know, but if the BCS and AP are seperate next year, it'll be a complete and utter clusterfuck. The chances of a split, even three way would be pretty high.

I heard a sportswriter this morning say that the main reason he thinks the AP pulled out is that in the last couple of years, the voter's IDs have become publice. They were getting pounded with hate mail and phone calls apparantly and wanted their lives back.

Yeah...the deal with the AP is that they ARE public...

the local guy here who voted stopped because of that very reason...

and who's to stop a media guy from taking a couple a grand to vote a certain way...

nada...

I heard about that. It's so stupid, people are gonna vote regionally, even with ESPN, sportscenter, national papers, etc. Writers in the southeast are gonna vote SEC, out west, Pac 10, etc. AP poll isn't fair, but none of them are really, but the AP is the less of two evils between it and the BCS IMO.

a real BCS could work...use the BCS...in it's form BEFORE this year...

only...allow the possibility for another game...if there are 3 or even 4 teams close...

an optional game every year is realistic...
