Please name some musicians that have officially crossed the line from genius to insanity. Here are three obvious patients:
Eddie Van Halen:
Became insane in 1996 by swerving the fans with a pseudo-reunion in an attempt to gain publicity for a new VH with a political art rock “edge.” Now he spends his days in a drunken stupor in 5150 conjuring up 10 albums worth of a material while periodically repackaging greatest hits albums with a mere three new songs on it.

Ritchie Blackmore:
Went insane in the late 90s. The Electric guitar god responded to guillotining of the guitar in the 90s by dumping his famed Strat for green tights and a new Minstrel band - Blackmore’s Night.
