Sorry Pojo. I was just trying to make a point and got obsessed! Besides, I'm really not a "liberal", in fact I am still a Republican. But I consider myself to be a political moderate.

The truth is, I think if I were a Conservative, I would still not have any respect for anyone that shoots their mouth off with such conviction or patriotic fervor without ever having done some form of National Service.

I'm done! My points were about the subject of hypocracy, not Liberals vs. Conservatives.

Don't talk about 'The Service' Lou, you have no clue what it means. So don't lecture me on it boy. And you bore me. You are boring, a bore with a CAPITAL B! I'm done bitch slapping you for the evening.

You repeat yourself in desperation. You use "LIBERAL" as both a noun and an adjective because you have never formed an original thought in your life. You display one-dimensional thinking because you eat the shit thrown to you by drugged up talk-radio hosts. Have a happy New Year Lou, and I expect you to e-mail me that bootleg by Monday at 6:00PM!

I'm not liberal or conservative. I think labels are bullshit. Right-wing, left-wing. Capitalist, socialist.

I am angry with the current administration and other past adminstrations. That said, I'm a fiscal conservative that is socially progressive, angry as hell that the Democrats didn't step into Rwanda in 1994, angry as hell that Carter didn't really get involved in the Cambodian genocide...etc. There are plenty of incidents in history in which I'd place blame on the Democrats for something or other. That's why I don't like the label bullshit. Furthermore, there's plenty I can't stand the Republicans for. Thus, I don't like to be called either. I think Bush has done a shitty job. If anyone actually thinks that makes it time to slab on the "liberal" stamp and go to war with me, then you have too much time on your hands.

Did I mention that I know what pussy tastes like?

Man when I hear that "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" song every 2 minutes I just want to bawl out crying. Such beautiful music. I can hear Billy Joe Armstrong's cry and you know I identify with that. And it sounds so genuine too. After all he's only been singing about the same stupid "woe is me" shit since 1990. And of course "American Idiot"--man I'm glad Green Day is setting the record straight with that brilliant piece of music. That song really turned my head and made me reflect on what's really going on in America. It's time to tear down any remaining replicas of the Ten Commandments and instead follow Green Day and their message.

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame
The ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side

Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around the score of men (Hey!)
A gag, A plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

"The representative from California has the floor"

Zieg Heil to the president gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

This is our lives on holiday

They won a Grammy LOU. Maybe you can send a bootleg my way. Or maybe I'll just flood the world with impure MP3 bootlegs of Van Hagar and make you cry;). How does "DREAMS" make you feel Lou. Wow Lou, you've really cut me down with your thoughtful, biting criticism of GREENDAY. I am really following GREENDAY'S message, which is what? Not to do hard drugs like crystal methamphetamine? ("GEEK STINK BREATH") Or not to be manipulated politically by lying, pseudo-Christians (i.e. a President that has done cocaine, driven drunk, and has two whory, drunken daughters) What message are Jenna and Barbara following besides Jack Daniels and fratboy penis?

But he's a good Christian Lou! Just like you, sitting in the comfort of your own home judging everybody. Say Lou, just out of curiosity, how do you show your Christianity? Do you volunteer for anything? Do you tutor inner-city kids? I know it's not the Military! Or do you just use it as some bullshit superiority trip. You really showed me Lou.

I think Green Day makes some damn good music and I'm 38. Actually, "American Idiot" was probably the only new CD I bought in 2004, off the top of my head. It's really a well done album, and if you listen closely to the songs, a tribute to just about all that's been worthwhile in rock n roll for the last 30 years.

Actually Loooo, you should really empathize with the lyrics. Keep making fun of Greenday Lou. Apparently that's the only song you know eh?

Sweet "Dreams" tonight precious. Say, what are you gonna have tomorrow when you get "Up for Breakfast?"

And I could care less who listened to Van Hagar in the past. It's your stunning display of blatant hypocrasy that disgusts me so, though I really do think it is funny that you choose "Dreams" as your all time fav. Van Hagaris. It's seems you built up quite the reputation as the phony little Van Hagar basher. BUt that's all in the past now, huh Lou?

Oh and Guwapo, get your fucking facts straight meathead. Rikk was not a well-liked or welcomed user for a long time at Links. He was staunch against Sam, to the point where he'd argue in every fucking thread about the virtues of Dave. We had plenty of PM wars of words, telling each other to fuck off, blah blah. In fact, I banned his ass at one point, he didn't even realize it. Once he left, I just turned off the ban, and when he came back, he had maybe mellowed a little, and was a lot friendlier, but he had no love loss for Sam. So STFU about it. Unfortunately much of Rikk's screaming matches are gone now after the board went away, but I'm sure there's posts from 2002 and 2003 where it's pretty fucking obvious he hates Sam.

Not like your gay friend Lube who couldn't stop sucking Sam's dick on the PD long enough to argue about anything.

I actually didn't care for American Idiot the first two times I heard it. But it grows on you, much like a nasty rash.

Maybe it's not all about money for 'em Lou. Maybe it's the same message they've had since day one, only more articulate. Maybe they are married or divorced, have kids and have actually had sex, and care about the world their children are raised in. I have no clue what the lyrics are, I just like their sound and stage show.
In some ways they remind me of a young Ramones.

Question:
I watched them on the grammy's and it struck me strange that they had a second guitarist. was he always there?
I was under the impression that they were a 3 piece band.

Good question. I noticed that before when I saw them live on Letterman. I think their music has gotten more complex and Billy Joe needs some relief. I think he goes on for like eight minutes in "Jesus of Suburbia" without a break.

But yes, at one time Billy Joe Armstrong did all of the guitar. I was actually trying to find out who the new guy they have now, he's pretty solid as a lead.

Oh Lou, the moralist "abortion trump card!" Well Lou, you never have sex. So you get no one pregnant. Very effective at preventing abortions I must say.

I use birth control, and am responsible to my partner and actually care about her, whomever it might be.

So, I'd say that I am as effective as you at preventing abortions.

***Wait***

You know, actually, I've tutored inner-city youth in an effort to give them the ability to succeed in High School and college and rise into the middle class. So actually, I may even be MORE EFFECTIVE AT PREVENTING ABORTION THAN YOU ARE! Though admittedly I cannot prove that.

That's right Nicky, it's never the individual's fault. It's the government's and conservative's fault for not throwing enough money at them.

Oh Lou, more cliche' ridden BS. Maybe you can earn a living working for $7 an hour living with mom. But a lot of people can't. Make sure you complain about abortion and try to restrict it while doing nothing to alleviate the poverty and ignorance that causes it.

You're right Lou! It's all GREEN DAY's fault for trying to turn people gay, getting teenage girls pregnant, aborting their fetuses, fraudulantly collecting welfare, donating to Islamic terrorist groups, burning churches, stealing people's guns so the UN can take-over, and worshipping Satan while giving away free black-bibles. Those are the exact messages of the album. I suggest you listen so you can become a brainwashed, Freemason zombie like me.

Yeah Lou, you really make a hell of a lot of sense. Try to read more and leave the basement once-in-a-while and encounter real people. Who said I listened to GREENDAY's album for 'deep messages?' I happen to agree with some of their abiguously anti-Bush Admin. attitude, but I hardly get my political philosophy from GREENDAY! If I like the SEX PISTOLS' "Anarchy in the U.K.", does that mean I'm flying to England to join the IRA or to become a anarchist street fighter. No!

Meaning, the original reason terrorists become violent or out-of-step with the rest of society is because they are placed or born in an unfortunate economic or political situation. The British called American revolutionaries terrorists, for Christ's sake.

I'm not saying all terrorists are right...I'm saying the U.S. should take some responsibility for breeding nutcases. Hell, they funded Bin Laden and his men to fight the Russians. There would be no Bin Laden were it not for the U.S.

I don't mean as a product of poverty... I mean as a product of unjust political conditions.

Anyway, the terrorists you are referring to are Middle Eastern terrorists. Various non-Middle Eastern societies have produced "terrorists" that were not from influential families with above-average educations (e.g. Ireland, Soviet Union), plus various Palestinians (yes, Middle Eastern) from poor economic backgrounds.
