Just lost Javon Walker for the game, shin injury.

Already lacking WRs.

It's all set up for Favre to be the big hero tonight if he can.

24-17 and now Randy Moss has a bad ankle, same leg he had the hamstring injury.

still over 12 minutes in the 4th.

And the Lambeau crowd is into it.

That was so fucking classless!!!

ALinChainz

Moss TD.

Pretends to "moon" the crowd by the goal post.

Not sure what I think of it, but Joe Buck of the Fox announce team is calling it "classless" and "disgusting".

Earlier in the game at 17-0 I believe, you could see him mouthing to someone in the corwd behind the bench, "Look at the muther fuckin' score, boy".

ALinChainz

Guess that's why I'm not surprised.

He is an asshole.

ALinChainz

What did I tell you.

So, you guys STILL want to take Brett Favre over Donovan McNabb in 2005 (and not 1996 or 1997 when Favre was in his prime)?

As I said before this game, you really don't know anything about football if you would take Brett Favre over Donovan McNabb in 2005. I hope today puts to rest that Brett Favre is really NOT who you want in there anymore. He's not just average in the playoffs, he is BAD.

He WAS a great QB. He will go to the Hall of Fame. But in 2005, he's done, over, and it's time to retire and not just hang around like Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice.

That, my friends, is why I dont bet on football games...

NEVER...in a MILLION years did I think the Vikings would beat GB at Lambeau after the Vikes embarassment last weekend...

Lou

I can't wait to hear one person, after this debacle, say that they'd still rather have Brett Favre over Donovan McNabb in 2005.

This isn't a fluke. The last four years Favre has had shitty games. Threw 6 INT's against the Rams in '02 I think it was. Lost to Atlanta, at home in '03. Lost to the Eagles last year and looked bad. Granted there was 4th and 26, but Favre did not play well. And then this year.

Four straight years of Favre really sucking in the playoffs, two of those games at home. He's over 30. I hope that by now you guys can put two and two together.

Favre is indeed in his twighlight but he no longer has the supporting cast that he once had. His career is almost the polar opposite of my man Elway's.

McNabb is still HIGHLY overrated IMO.

Lou
01-09-2005, 09:41 PM
Oh, so now it's the supporting cast. Man you Favre defenders just look for all kinds of excuses. I guess Jevon Walker and Ahman Green are chop liver then. I know Green was hurt, but what was the excuse last year when he romped for all those TD's and yardage?

MAX
01-09-2005, 09:44 PM
I'm saying that Elway was no better than Brett at this point in his career but he had a stellar team. Fuck, in Brett's heyday he had Levens, American Chewi, Freeman, and etc. Not too mention a "D" with Reggie and Gilbert. Totally different circumstances. The Pack ain't the team they once were and they all just look to number four.

Lou
01-09-2005, 09:54 PM
John Elway was FAR, FAR superior in his 30's than Brett Favre is in his 30's. Wasn't he 37 or 38 when he won the SB's? What's Favre now, 34? And four straight poor playoff showings.

MAX
01-09-2005, 10:04 PM
Well, I'm NEVER going to diss my man Elway cos I have a shrine to him and The Broncos in a hallway of my house. Fuck, I even have a framed Orange Crush jersey signed by Elway. Heck, even on of our dogs is named "Elway" and that is no joke. I'm a Broncos fanatic.

However, I STILL think Favre is great. He just doesn't have the team or system.

POJO_Risin
01-09-2005, 10:06 PM
Offensively...Green Bay has MORE than Denver did back in the day...

Walker, Driver and Ahman...along with Favre...

his defense blows...but that's not why they lost today...

they lost because of Favre...whether those pics were his fault or not...

Favre wasn't on his game today...you can look at it for what it is...and say it's a one game deal...or you can look at it like Lou...and justify McNabb's greatness by shitting on him for the past four years...

POJO_Risin
01-09-2005, 10:08 PM
I agree with most of what Lou says...McNabb's probably better right now at winning than Favre is...for whatever reason you might think...

but I wouldn't say Favre is washed up...as Lou says...

MAX
01-09-2005, 10:11 PM
EXACTLY!!!

When Favre is hot. The guy is insane but I'll agree that he blew goatballs today.

VH Freak

I do know how anyone can say Favre is washed up. Is he as good as he was in his prime? Of course not but the dude passed for over 4,000 yards and had 30TD passes this year. I wouldn't call that washed up. There was only two other QB's in the league that had over 4,000 yards and at least 30 TD passes.

I will disagree with Lou who said Elway was FAR FAR better than Favre in his 30's. All you have to do is look at the stats.

By the way, interesting stat. I'm not knocking Elway because I love the guy but Favre has more TD passes AND less INT's than Elway.
