I think you're being a little tough on him. I've heard some of those charges, obviously he was born into the slave-holding class and was an elitist. But I haven't heard a lot of those accusations as it's hard to pin being a "limey-sycophant" onto the guy who (mostly) wrote the Declaration of Independence.
