Anybody into the classic RATT songs and vids. A dude sent me two disks he made of RATT videos. They kick butt and are funny (that cheesy 80's glam rock stuff and their great lyrics.)

I have always been a Warren DeMartini fan, man that guy can fricking play. And I was sorry to see Robbin Crosby die two years ago of AIDS from the R & R RATT lifestyle. (http://www.robbincrosby.net/ ) Man, these guys were right up there with the best of them for having the hottest chicks around all the time.

But, I had never seen their videos, nor realized they put out so many. I remember Milton Burl was related to the band's manager or something. That is the reason he is in some of the RATT videos.

Let me know if anyone is interested...Peace

Here’s one for now, but it is not their best vid/song:

Shame Shame Shame (mms://wm.rhino.com/a/b/c/MusicVideos/Ratt/V_FL_Ratt_Shame_Shame_Shame_Video_Version_322.wmv)

Requirements:
Windows Media Player 9 Series, wmv format
Vid Res 400 Kbps
Note: These are good size videos, so you probably need broadband and a PC with some balls to play.

I'll find a server to host these two disks. Killer stuff. All the production vids, MTV/VH1 interviews/peformances, and two live shows, 84 and 88. I really liked RATT, truely great rock band! Cannot believe I hadn't seen half these videos. Hell been play 3/4 of their songs for 15 years and seen them live 4 times.

I agree, the 80's defintely looked more fun and I wish I lived through the 80's, not the boring 90's.

Cool videos, by the way.

I remember stuffing one in a cheerleader in the back of the bus on the way to an away football game with Round and Round blasting. Oh the fucking memories.

When they're guys they still call them cheerleaders?

Still claiming to have written "Take your whiskey Home" back in 1974 too?

Still claiming to have picked the songs on Diver Down?

Still claiming to have spoken on live TV at the Republican Nat'l Convention?

Still claim to own this site?

Banging the male cheerleader in the back of the bus I DO believe, however:rolleyes:

Agreed Warren DeMartini is very underated so is Vito Bratta for that matter.

Yes there is a production video for it. DeMartini was killer on that trac.

"Way Cool Junior" is also a great Video, but hell all but 1 or 2 are totally killer/funny vids.

When Van Roth broke up, I really felt like it opened the door for RATT and Motley Crue to replace Van Halen, and imo they did as to kick ass rock concerts with lots of hot chicks in attendance.

Here's the list of all the RATT TV production videos, and other stuff on these disks I just got. I think that yahoo Launch has a couple of RATT video. Let me know if you want to download them and I will give you the "download URLs for any Yahoo Launch videos you find."

PS: I was really bummed out when Robbin died two years ago. Great guy, that all he ever wanted to be was a rock star. He and Warren worked really well together in the band.

Died a horrible death with AIDS. Instead of wasting to nothing, like 99% of AIDS victims he ballooned to close to 400 lbs. The AIDS did something to his Gut and Pancreas, and everything he ate turned to fat. It was sad.

Yeah, you are right. Every one in RATT were very strong musicians with a great "look and hook".

Funny, Steve Pearcy sure turned out to be a worthless bum.

To me that is what makes the 80's glam rock vids so cool. Most are cheezy and the production quality is weak to sucks. Many are so bad they are actually good because they are fucking funny.

IMO, no rock video sucks worse than Van Halen's "Pretty Women", but again I LMAO everytime I see it because it sucks so bad.

Oh, yeah on the Lay It Down video, it's got that super hot playboy model in it, that is on the cover of RATT's "Invasion of your Privacy" album.

I don't play a lot of heavy speed riffs, but I sure learned DeMartini's riffs and got his sound down in Lay It Down. Killer stuff!

Alright a RA Mod that's a RATT fan, cool!!!!

It really sucked all the major labels killed 80's rock with all that Nirvana, Seattle grunge sound shit in the early 90's. Hell, the last time a music great came out of Seattle it was Jimi Hendrix.

Then the music dicks shoved their new "greats" Kurt and Courtney down the publics' throat. Give me a break!

Difference between Van Hagar and RATT

Van SpamBoys, sing pussy songs begging for love and attentions from women.

RATT sings songs about what a dirty job it is to love their women.

Baaawaaaa!

---------------

Lovin' You's a Dirty Job
RATT

I woke up in the mornin', I'm still flat on my back
Couldn't move a muscle like I had a heart attack
The night was wild and woolly
Didn't think I'd make it through it
'Cause lovin' you's a dirty job
And I'm the man to do it

Lovin' you is a dirty job, lovin' you is a dirty job

You put me through the ringer and hung me out to dry
You licked me off your fingers just like a piece of pie
You break my heart in pieces
But I've got the glue to glue it
Girl lovin' you's a dirty job
And I'm the man to do it

Lovin' you is a dirty job, lovin' you is a dirty job
Lovin you is a dirty job
Girl lovin' you's a dirty job and
I'm the man to do it

I'm gonna hold you till the end of time
I'm gonna love you 'cause it's now or never
I'm gonna kiss you till I make you mine

Lovin' you is a dirty job, lovin' you is a dirty job

I'm gonna hold you till the end of time
I'm gonna love you 'cause it's now or never
I'm gonna kiss you till I make you mine

Lovin' you is a dirty job, lovin' you is a dirty job
Lovin you is a dirty job
Girl your love is thicker than mud
And you're trying to drag me through it now

Lovin' you is a dirty job, lovin' you is a dirty job

Thanks for the post mate! Well the music biz always comes full circle, so you will catch the next wave dude.

The 60's started the American rock revolution. 1970, it dies overnight when Hendrix and Joplin die, and the Vietnam war is totally out of control, then disco comes in.

The rock biz rebuilds and comes back in the 80's, only to be destroyed by the record labels with the grunge garbage in 1991

The rest of the 90's, and to current, is a total assault on rock with Rap, Crap, and bands/entertainers that cannot even sing or play an instrument being shoved down our throat using the sex card.

So, we gotta be due for a "cycle change" again, and we are stuck in this mess in the Middle East for decades now according the experts. Maybe that will start an anti-war rock revolution, like what happened in the 60's?

Plus these older rock band, really got one last shot at getting out and making money because of their age and health. So we will see what the future brings.

Collage ... " I Want It All" ... I think it was what "All or Nothing" was before they re-wrote it ...

Killer Ratt tune ...

And if you've never checked out Pearcy's version of "I'm Losing You" off the Rod Stewart tribute, the song never sounded better.

The current line-up of Ratt put on a killer show. They are going to tour this summer with Cinderella, Quiet Riot and Firehouse. Aside from Firehouse that is an awesome line-up.
