"Bring it on", Leadfoot. One of my favourite albums for nearly 8 years. Does anyone dig them round here? I learnt lately that they had released 2 more records (can't be found anywhere in France).
Great songs and lyrics. Their tracks are no riff "impositions", unlike many of today's metal and trash stuff, and even a lot of yesterday's hard rock bands, like Iron Maiden and alikes. Maiden's music has always sounded artificial to me, like various pieces sewed together. Not to mention the lyrics that I find ridiculous. But I recognize they're technically highly skilled. That's it. I first wanted to be brief, but then I went on. Cheers.

It's raw as hell and several missed cues. But Mick's guitar sound is amazing and it's cool to hear the "TFFL" songs and the basically demo versions of the "SATD" songs, because that album was not yet released.

Balls To The Wall, To High To Get It Right, and Metal Heart are some great tunes. I read where they have a reunion tour beginning in Japan. Agreed, it is great songwriting, but for me it IS a guitar record. When I first heard VHI it amazed me and made me decide to learn to play guitar. I thought "I have no idea how that is done, but I want to learn to play like that".

The only other time I've felt that way was Train ... specifically Hometown Blues, Mercenary, and Tom Ames. For the life of me, I have no concept of how to play guitar like that, but I want to learn.

Most music I hear I pretty much understand the mechanics of, and I know I could probably play it if I applied myself. I hear Hometown Blues and know I could never play like that.

Black Sabbath - Headless Cross, very underrated album. Honest to goodness, its hard to argue against an original, and Ozzy will always be the man, however, imo the best Black Sabbathy albums have Tony Martin on lead vox. Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes, those three albums are extremely underrated. Granted, Paranoid, Master Of Reality, Vol. 4, and Black Sabbath (self titled) are timeless classics. Just my thoughts on Sabbath...

In the six disc changer in the Jeep are:
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Dream Theater - Train Of Thought
Dream Theater - Awake
Disciple - By God
Demon Hunter - Summer Of Darkness
VH1 Classic Metal Mania Stripped
Mix CD made by redfire- DLR and John Sykes
