I have a couple of his albums. He has an excellent style. I want to get his latest release. I listened to a few tracks off of it. It sounds really cool.

Pretty good CD, only problem is there is one or two too many slower songs on there.

That does not bother me too much. THe only thing that does is the third track has that assclown Kid Rock on there. Now HE is a waste of space.

If that guy would just play guitar and not try to imitate SRV I think he could be one that is good enough to be elevated in status. As it is, he and Johnny Lang sound to much alike IMO. I like "Blue On Black", I just wish he'd come up with his on sound instead of copping from a legend.

Have you heard anything from "The Place You're In"? It was released last October. It sounds way different than SRV.

They are all poseurs.
Stevie Ray Vaughan was El Numero Uno.
THere is a 16-year-old kid who lives here in Gnashville that can smoke all those motherfuckers.
But they are all still SRV clones.
I saw SRV once.
I have no need to see, hear, or witness the clones, as they cannot improve on the original.
Just my opinion.....

I have zero patience for clones ,especially SRV clones.
I saw Derek Trucks open for Eric Johnson. (As well as playing with The A.B.B.). Anyway I was expecting him to be playing Duane Allman slide licks all night. Wrong. The dude ripped. Blues,Jazz Rock he does it all. For a young player he is a giant, IMO..
The does'nt seem to be many young players today who play with as much maturity and depth. I have a great respect for the guy.
Regretfully , I passed up a few opportunity's to see Stevie Ray. The old I'll catch him next time thing. I've always regetted not seeing him live. I miss that dude.....:(
