I remember hearing a couple of years ago that a new Indiana Jones movie would be coming out in 2005 that would star Harrison Ford and Sean Connery, and be directed by Steven Spielberg. It would take place in the 1950s rather than the 30s like the first three to accomodate Ford being, well, old.

I think I read it in one of those free magazines you read during the previews for other movies.

Anyone know if this is still happening? I hope so! Ford is old, but still badass enough to play Indy one last time.

I heard it didn't happen for that very reason, Ford is up there. But I could be wrong.

I heard it's going to be called "Grandpa Jones and the Quest for the Proven Franchise", or something to that nature...

Y'know...I was about to go for it as you requested.

But I don't think there's any improving your tag.

Thread closed.

2006 makes more sense. Spielberg knows better than to compete with Star Wars for the "blockbuster hit of the summer" title.

three is enough...like the lethal weapon movies...four is always one more than necessary...and star wars were three more than necessary...

well, this has potential to be different, if it explores the quesiton of "the aging adventurer".

...which come to think of it, the lethal weapon movies did...

fuck. backed myself into a corner. natra gets checkmate by default.

(but I don't think Spielberg would pull a George Lucas with this franchise...I hope)
