View Full Version : What is it with Figs constantly bumping old threads?

Why does this Figs character constantly go back to threads that were started months and months ago (sometimes over a year) and post 2 or 3 word responses to them just to bring them back? Someone explain it to me. Am I missing something? Is this the cool thing to do?

It only happens when he forgets his meds.

I like to think that many of the topics here at the Army are timeless.

Mezro...if you have something to say why not...the resurrection connection...

Many of the old threads have as much, if not more, merit than many of the new ones. Why would you say Figs is fucked in the head for reviving them? He's just a nostalgic feller.

It's kinda heartwarming to read the old stuff.....

I remember this dealio where I flamed myself as an alias and got really fucking pissed off.

That was fucking weird and I hope someone deleted it..

I dont mind seeing old threads resurface.
We get many new members each week who probably
havent read these anyway, and might breathe new life
into one of them.

As LMS said, a lot of the older threads are great.

Figs is not the only person that does this.

Its harmless, if the thread doesnt get added to, it slips
away again anyways.

I believe that's what he wants people to believe, look, we've had threads before on this. Fig's is funny and there is a method to his madness me thinks. Over analyzing takes the fun out of it! I know exactly what Figs does so lets leave certain things be.

I’d actually prefer this thread to die a natural death.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Why do I bump up threads? I have a major malfunction and my Mommy and Daddy didn’t show me enough attention when I was a child. I’m an attention starved, introverted social outcast.

But when I look at the work gone into some of these posts, take this tread for example:

http://www.rotharmy.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=782

Here Terry writes a 352 word, well thought out post only to get no responses.

True this is only one example, but it's not my intention to prolong this post.

I’ve seen polls double in votes. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.

All those threads will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Why do I bump up threads? If I had to put into one word, that word would be Love.

......

OK never mind, I just like being obnoxious. And yes, I am fucked in the head.

Sincerely I remain,
Figs
