These songs can be about anything, really. It doesn't even have to necessarily have Mexican/south of the border tinges...it can just be really percussive like "Sympathy for the Devil". Let me know what your suggestions are.

That's more Latin. Ford's suggestion of sonrisa salvaje is more appropo.
Lots of Ry Cooder stuff...come to think of it, what was the project he did a couple of years back?
uh...ricky martin..?
Ritchie Valens, Los Lobos, Led Zep's Hot Dog...or wait, no, the midsection of Fool In the Rain...

Check out this band form Mexico. Very good stuff! They are called "Kinky". I can give you a list of good tunes to check out if you want. I saw them at the HOB when I was out in LA and they were fantastic. I picked up their CD and I love it.
They did a tune for the movie "Man on Fire"

Chris Isaaks "Baja Sessions" has a nice breezy, acoustic, couple of margaritas in the shade feel to it.

Rustaffa said it right with Mexican Blackbird" by ZZ Top. You turn that motherfucker on, and immediately you are in a little dive south of the border, with some chick named Puta....
