If they believed ANYTHING you advocate, they wouldn't be neocons now would they? Can't have it both ways...

I agree this thread is retarded. The idea that everything would be perfectly ok after the elections is naive and simpleminded.

While we are on the subject of sack, why can't ANY liberal admit that the elections were a positive thing for the people of Iraq, irregardless of your political feelings towards the Bush administration?

Fine: I'll say it. the elections were a GREAT achievement.

But now the truly dangerous work begins: once a victor is declared, violence may increase more than ever, perrhaps escalaing to a Civil War. And though I am a left-leaning independent (no secret there), I am of the belief that we do have a reponsibility - because our government prepared so poorly for the war and its repercussions - to remain there until stability and "a" peace are achieved.

Anything else would turn into a disaster.

see, and right there is why you can't get a real bipartisan discussion in this place.

if nothing else, clinton ended WELFARE, somehting that republicans were begginf ro for years.

And that's my feeling towards Dems: they create programs that help the populance when it's needed, and they also end them when the programs have exceeded their original purpose. Due to security reasons, parts of Texas, Nevada, and Utah are not allowed to vote.

No Candidates Names are allowed on the ballots, only Party symbols

No International Monitors are allowed to oversee the election

I absolutely and unapolgetically voted Democrat in every presidential election I've voted in.

However, as for my local politics, I voted Bloomberg and Giulliani in the last several mayoral elections - the republican candidates. As of this writing, I'm planning on once again voting Bloomberg.
