It's true folks! Sócrates, of the Socialist party seems to have the advantage over Santana, of the Social Democrat party. How can this be, as the Socialists have done nothing but shit in the last few years they were controling Portugal's destiny? Sure, Santana may not be very popular nowadays, because since Durão Barroso has gone to the position of President of the European Commission Helping Europe to change European Economic and Social Committee, many of his political enemies have tried to take him down, but Sócrates is nothing but a puppet of Guterrism, the style of the last prime-minister of Portugal, Guterres. Can this motherfucker be allowed to have the power of a prime-minister?

I say NO! Vote PSD the next 20th of February. For a better Portugal!

"Heróis do mar, nobre Povo,
Nação valente, imortal,
Levantai hoje de novo
O esplendor de Portugal!
Entre as brumas da memória,
Ó Pátria, sente-se a voz
Dos teus egrégios avós,
Que há-de guiar-te à vitória!

Às armas, às armas!
Sobre a terra, sobre o mar,
Às armas, às armas!
Pela Pátria lutar
Contra os canhões marchar, marchar!"

Here's the song:

Portuguese politics? No offense, but I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Due to our rather low Portuguese and Brazilian constituency, neither does anyone else.

I wonder if "Al Qaeda" will make a surprise appearance in Portugal like they did (yeah right) in Spain?

There's no oil in Portugal, is there?

Portugal owns 5% of the oil in Iraq. Calouste Gulbenkian gave it to us. That's why our government supported the war. The opposition was - of course - against it, but if they were in government they would've done the same.

The politics are the same everywhere, but in Portugal it's much more blatant, seeing we're such a small country.

Nice to meet someone who knows Portugal isn't part of Spain, by the way.

Cheers! :bottle:

Hey, nice! I hadn't thought of that... 5 stars, Ford, 5 stars. But please, don't move any more Joe Thunder threads to the dump. I spend a lot of time there. Just delete them or close them instead.

I'm still going for Santana. At least he can play the guitar, Sócrates is just plain gay.

Lounge, if you don't believe me, do a web search on Gulbenkian, he was known at the "5% man". Every deal he closed was with 5% of something.
We all want our share, man. Gimme those 5%, baby. Daddy's got a new gas drinking machine, and I want some of that sweet, sweet oil.

Cheers! :bottle:
