Dean Continues Dem’s Noble Racist Tradition

It was last Friday that another racist comment was discharged from the mouth of a “new and improved” Democrat. Following in the great tradition of leftist Gary Trudeau (who called Dr. Condoleeza Rice “Brown Sugar”) and Robert “KKK” Byrd’s frequent usage of the “N” word on the Senate floor as well as a letter he wrote (discovered a few years ago to the Ku Klux Klan’s Imperial Wizard) stating: "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia and in every state in the Union" (four years after he had supposedly quit the Klan), the Dems are lauded by minorities as “the Party of tolerance”. Byrd still claims that he “never lynched anybody” and isn’t racist. Not racist but, a member of the Klan? Uh-huh. For some reason, still unknown to me, the Dems are given pass after pass by minority community voters. Now, newly appointed DNC Chairman Howard Dean has elected to enter this Democrat time-honored tradition.

On 11 Friday 2005, Dean (during his never-ending rants against all Republicans) said to the assembled members of the Democratic Black Caucus: "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here!" The shock, here, is that they laughed! Did they not hear what their leader said? Dean then went on to say: "We have to never be afraid to say what we believe." Hmmm. What the Dems “believe” appears to be that only minorities are in the positions of “inferior” hotel staff workers. Apparently, Dean and his colleagues don’t believe that non-minorities would “lower” themselves to take these jobs. What is even more shocking and incomprehensible is that the more the Dems humiliate minorities, the more they seem to accept it. Were a Republican to make any of the above statements (or any remotely close to them), they would be tarred and feathered and run out of DC on a rail! Trent Lott suffered almost that fate when, at Sen. Thurmond’s birthday party, he praised segregationist Strom Thurmond. The mainstream media was relentless in hauling Lott over the coals and he was, subsequently, forced to step down from his Senate Majority Leader position.

Senator Lott should not have made the comment. By the same token, neither should the Dems. But, when a Republican makes any comment that might be construed as racist, they are immediately (if not before) castigated by the MSM in bold Front-Page Headlines. When the Dems make these comments, the mainstream media either ignores or places a positive spin on them.

The only scenario we the people can hope for is that minorities will eventually and finally realize what the Democrat Party is really telling their constituencies; that they will preach and pretend tolerance while actually speaking and affecting bigotry. Although it wasn’t a huge percentage, President Bush attracted more minority voters, than in the past, in 2004. President Bush actually places brilliant and capable people of color (witness Colin Powell and Dr. Rice) in top positions, while the Dems have only promised to do so. Historically and in practice, they do not. Exceptional and qualified people from all races deserve to be represented and not demeaned. At this juncture, only the Republicans are providing it. Racism, should be shunned…even in the Democrat Party.

Do all blacks work in hotels, Dr. Dean?

"Our ******s is better off than most anybody's ******s, why, they got washing machines and some of'um even got televisions. I can't understand why they complaining." Strom Thurmond

What Strom Was Against On Civil Right Acts

1) The Right of Full and Equal Policical
Participation,
2) The Right of Equal Opportunity of Employment,
3) The Right of Security of Person,
4) Equal Treatment in the Service and Defense of
OUR Nation

What Thurmond Says About it

"I want to tell you that there's not enough troops in the army to force the southern people to break down segregation and admit the Negro race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into out homes, and into our churches"

"If the segreation program of the president
is enforced, the results of civil strife may be
horrible beyond imagination. Lawlessness will be
rampant. Chaos will prevail. Our streets will be
unsafe. And there will be the greatest breakdown
of law enforcement in the history of the nation."

American workers should be able "choose to work in
a place where he is with his kind of people" and
not find "that at the counters, desk or benches
they will be forced to work, side by side, with all
types of people of all races; that in the lunchrooms,
rest rooms, recreation rooms, they will be compelled
by law to mingle with persons and races which all
their lives they have by free choice, avoided in
social and business intercouse, Suppose you work
for a company or belong to a union which by law
forbidden to make any so called racial discrimination...
Think about the situation which would exist.
When the annual office party is held, or the union
sponsors a dance. There the races must also be
mingled or else the sponsors face fines or jail
sentences".

On finding that Governor William H. Hastie of the
Virgin Islands was black after he had invited him
to visit Columbia, he said "I would not have
written him if I knew he was a Negro. Of course,
it would have been ridiculous to invite him"

"I am glad President Truman has finally
admitted that the goal his administration has been
working for all along is to abolish separation of
the races"

of his people"

Thurmond's Family Says Black Woman Was His Daughter

Strom Thurmond's Daughter

MIAMI (Reuters) - The family of late U.S. Sen. Strom
Thurmond released a statement on Monday acknowledging
that the former segregationist was the father of a
78-year-old mixed-race woman.
Essie Mae Washington-Williams, a Los Angeles woman
whose black mother worked as a maid in Thurmond's
parents' home as a teen-ager, went public with her
claim that Thurmond was her father in a report
published by The Washington Post on Saturday.
The Thurmond family released a statement on Monday
through attorney J. Mark Taylor, who represents the
senator's estate.
"As J. Strom Thurmond has passed away and cannot
speak for himself, the Thurmond family acknowledges
Ms. Essie Mae Washington-Williams' claim to her
heritage," the statement said. "We hope this
acknowledgment will bring closure for Ms. Williams."
Thurmond, who served as a Republican senator from
South Carolina for 48 years and died in June 2003 at
age 100, had said late in life through his office
that Williams was a friend.

Sorry friend, but if it weren't for Republicans, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 wouldn't have passed.

It's the Dems who've sold minorities a bill of goods. And Dean's comment was ridiculously stupid and offensive. Not to mention arrogant and condescending. If Trent Lott had uttered a similar phrase he'd have been forced to step down... Oh wait a minute... That's right, he was.

I seem to remember weeks of news coverage on Lott's comment. And yet strangely I only find Dean's comment on Drudge.

That's because he probably never said it, or it was mutilated to the point it was completely out of context.

Sorry JA, but you're full-of-it. It's funny how the media couldn't get enough of destroying Dean with the "Scream," but they refuse to cover Dean's latent racism? More partisan bullshit ala' Fudge!

And the Liberal Rockefeller wing of the Republican's help Kennedy to pass civil rights legislation, right before Nixon and Goldwater started courting all the old racist Dixiecrats.

Drudge is a little upset these days, with his favorite male prostitute "Jeff Gannon" being in all that hot water. I imagine the boys in the rave clubs have been some consolation to him though.

Lounge,

I actually agree. While I generally feel those who try to be "down with the cause" can sometimes be MORE racist than those who go with the flow (there is a CLASSIC Kids In the Hall Sketch on this), this isn't the damning racist comment it could be. I reserve judgement on Dean's intentions. He is an idiot, that I have determined :)

Exactly.

This is just more "much ado about nothin"

I don't think he's an Idiot, per se, however I also am wary of hanging the "saviour" mantle on him that Brother FORD seems to want to. By the same token I think the whole "scream" thing was fucking ridiculous:rolleyes:

Kids in the Hall!!!

I loved the one where the boys are walking by the the gravedigger shovelling dirt, and one of them says " you dig graves?"

Nope, Dean's showing his true colors here. It's quite clear what he thinks of the typical African American. The best they can aspire to be is the hotel cleanup staff (according to this nimrod) It was also quite clear what he thought of the typical Southernor with "Pickup trucks and gun racks". And yet the Dems are trying to shore up the "Red State" vote... Interesting choice for DNC chair. But hell, if he's going to drive the opposition party into the ground who am I to stop him?

And yes, for the record he's also a dumb-ass.

Or 9 BILLION DOLLARS being "lost" in the shuffle?

And like I said, liberal bullshit.

Much ado about nothing.

Now, back to topic... Why was Lott run out by the "Right Wing Media" while you hear almost nothing about Dean's multiple faux-pas?

Oh, and just so you know, Dean was run out by the liberal media during the primaries because #1. the Clintons wanted him taken out, and #2. The liberal press thought Kerry was more "electable".

The debate about whether the press is liberally biased is over. They are self-admittedly left of center. It's been shown by poll after poll, both internal and external. You make yourself look foolish by clinging to the absurd notion that the press is overwhelmingly Conservative (just because Fox News isn't overtly liberal).

Again, time to get a new schtick.

I didn't find it all that offensive, personally.
but that kind of rhetoric has no place in our society, regardless.

What Trent Lott said was a bit more over the line.
