I'm going to die on June 21, 2058.

Damn! I wasn't planning on living that long. I'm going to have to bump up the 401K. :D

Although, I COULD shave many years off by being pessimistic or gaining 50 pounds. :p

Well, I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) a couple of days ago, so I know I have 5 years tops.

Guess I better start drinking and smoking hardcore again.
May as well go out with a bang. ;)

G,

Where did you find this?

I'm going to live longer than you? Must be because I'm female.

Tommy Lee mentioned it in his book, which I read on Saturday. Just a reminder not to waste a minute of your life, I guess.

Is the book any good? I received a Barnes and Noble giftcard for Christmas, still haven't used it and am ready for another book.

It's ironic that I'll "pass" on a Monday in December. The Broncos will probably lose a Monday Night Football game and I'll have a stroke. lol.

Hey people!!! If you don't like the date of your death, click the button again! A different number will come up, even if you input the same information. Don't wanna die so young? Click again, you'll live longer! :D

I got myself a new date: Wednesday, August 28, 2075

I loved it. Very engaging. Read it in one day. Little bit of everything: rock and roll, sex, love, marriage, divorce, birth, death, porn stars, female ejaculation, incarceration, transition, inspiration. Any book that has an intro consisting of a man having a conversation with his erection can't be bad. :D

Is it new and what's it called? I haven't read a music biography in a while and I've read a ton. I hear you with just plowing through it though. Heck, I read Paul McCartney's semi-autobiography (and authorized by Sir Paul) which is over six hundred pages in two days. Same with Keith Richards Authorized bio cept not nearly as long but a killer read if you like the Stones. I read it twice in one week. Also and honestly, I cannot even tell you how many friggin' times I've read "Crazy from the Heat?" LOL!!! I'd say at least a dozen.

I'd love to read what Tommy has to say. I loved the Crue and I bet there are many stellar stories, not to mention the Pamela stuff. lol.

I'm not too big on The Mama's and the Papa's but if you say so I'll check it out. Regardless, I'll bet their drama pales in comparison to the Army's daily operettas. lol.

He was best friends with Keith, Mick, and Bobby Kennedy,Jr, as well as a few Gettys

He had affairs with Mia Farrow while she was living w/ Sinatra, and Anita Pallenberg and had a foursome with Jane Fonda

He was suspected of killing Sharon Tate by Roman Polanski, and was supposed to be in the house that night

Bockris' bio was NOT authorized by keith. You're thinking of the Stanley Booth book, "Keith". Bockris alos wrote one of the very best rock books ever, The True Story of the Rolling Stones, which only goes through the Altamont tour of 1969. The Bockris book is good, not great.

When am I going to die? I haven't taken the test but I figure it'll be about the time Elvis finds out I urinated on his Bible.

Never read Ol' Billy Boy's book. That's probably cos every interview I've ever read with him has been beyond boring. The "Snoozer" Stone, if you will? Fuck, at least Charlie has a dry English wit.

I actually just picked up a book by some rabbi that studies the 23rd psalm. it's actually pretty interesting. It sorta articulates things I've always realized about the psalm, but never really fully absorbed.

There's a new book called "God's Politics", written by some evangelical who I saw on meet the press that I'm curious to pick up. bu then again, i'm a little burnt on political books for a little while.

Man, there's a bit Dennis Leary did regarding Nyquill. It was soooo fucking funny.

And viola!!!! Thanks to the net and five seconds later here it is:

"I don't do illegal drugs anymore. Now I just do the legal drugs. Tonight I'm on NyQuil and Sudafed. Let me tell you something, folks. Forget about cocaine and heroine. All you need is NyQuil and Sudafed. I'm telling you right now, I took the NyQuil five years ago. I just came out of the coma tonight before the fucking show! Claus Vanbulo was standing over my bed going, "Denis, get up! There's something the matter with Sunny! Hurry up!" I love NyQuil. Man, I love it! I love it. I love it. I love it. It's the best thing shit ever invented. Isn't it, huh? I love the name alone. NyQuil - Capitol N, small Y, big fucking Q! I love that fucking Q, don't you!? What a great advertising idea! Put a huge fucking Q on the box. They'll get high and stare at it. "The Q is talking to me! The Q is talking to me!"

I love NyQuil, man. Because NyQuil has never changed, man. It's never changed. All the other medicines are doing that inner-child thing. "we know that there's a small child inside of you, so now we have grape and cherry and orange flavor." Not NyQuil! They still have the original green death fucking flavor! You know why!? Because it doesn't matter what it tastes like! It's so strong you go, "*wheeze* Hey this stuff really tastes like.." Bang! Yer in the coma already! "What happened?" "He said tastes like and he went right into the coma, it was unbelievable!" We have reached the point where the over the counter drugs are actually stronger than anything you can buy on the street. It says on the back of the NyQuil box, on the back of the box it says, "May cause drowsiness." It should say, "Don't make any fucking plans! Kiss your family and friends goodbye. Say hello to Klaus!" NyQuil, NyQuil, NyQuil, we love you! You giant fucking Q!

NyQuil is the secret for all you twelve step recovery program people. Yes, all you AA people, NyQuil is the key! It's the thirteenth fucking step! You can drink it! It's over the counter! Drink as much as you want. "Are you drunk?" "No! I have a cold. Same cold I've had for two years. I just can't seem to shake it. I'm high as a kite and my teeth are green. Merry fucking Christmas!"

Funny fuckin' shit.

Thats a fact. Your conscience should be clear. :D

I haven't been to find out what day I am dying. Don't think I will go either. Someone told me once when I was little bitty thing

"Learn as if you were to live forever, live as if you were to die tomorrow."

I think thats still good advice.

I know its rough when you, or someone you love, is handed a death sentence... but death is the only sure thing in life. But life isn't about death, its about living.

It is hard to watch someone suffer. My grandpa died of Huntingtons disease...(kind of comparable to Lou Gherig's disease), but harder than watching him die, was watching my grandma watch him die...

Well, anyway, didn't mean to turn morbid... I think what I meant to say was

"heres to life... so precious and few are those moments... and all that jazz"

cheers

I don't want anyone's sympathy although the prayers sure can't hurt. :D

There were never any guarantees given to anyone in life. I'm blessed to say that I've never in my life taken a day for granted; therefore my attitude remains the same. I'm actually dealing with this pretty good. I'm still in great physical shape, I'm in my 30's and I'm ready to kick the shit out of this thing for as long as it takes.

Things could be worse; I could have been a tsunami victim.
Like I said, there are no guarantees in life. I stand to outlive all future accidental fatalities in cars, trains, and airplanes for at least 4-6 years.

Besides, my predicted date was June 7, 2024 so who knows?

Good, cause you'll get no sympathy or pity from me, just a friend that has compassion for my fellow man.

I have been through very hard times and had nobody to talk to that i didn't have to pay and that sucked.
I was just offering you some support if you should ever need it.

If i offended you, you have my apologies.

I saw that flick on AMC about a month ago and the editing just depressed me.
So last week i bought the DVD and saw it un-cut for the first time in 15 years...You Sum Bitch!

"Oh, well, I thank you there Mr. Bandit, and let me just say that as a persuer you are the God-Damndest persuee, I ever persued...Now where are you, you Sum Bitch?"

One of my all-time fav flicks, being as i am the son of a career trucker of 32 years (i'm 39 in May), and my insatiable love for the 2nd generation Trans-Am.
The sequels sucked......

Cath -

I was reading a study of the 23rd psalm today, and it reminded me of you.

The rabbi who wrote this study was talking about "walking through the valley of the shadow of death" section, and how it reminded him how one of the members of his congregation had a tragedy befall his wife.

His life completely changed, and suddenly found himself as no longer a partner to someone, but a caretaker. BUt never once in all of thier (frequent) talks together, did he ever complain and talk of his burden.

Instead, he focused on his sympathy for her pain, and moving forward.

Anyho, it reminded me of you. Whether you like it or not, you're a good guy. and to hell with ya if ya don't like it! I'll pick up the book when I get home and write down the section if you like...

the book is called, aopropraoitely, The Lord is My Shephard.

Okay, y'all, tomorrow's the b-day...you've got the strippers set and ready to go?

I'm going to die on June 21, 2058.

Damn! I wasn't planning on living that long. I'm going to have to bump up the 401K. :D

Although, I COULD shave many years off by being pessimistic or gaining 50 pounds. :p

Doesn't sound like a solid plan to me. If your gonna go early, there are many many better ways to do it...
