After these three I just don't feel he had the same magic. Now yes he did have some rocking songs after those albums, but they weren't the same caliber. What do you think? Keep in mind I love every David Lee Roth Cd.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who will disagree with you.

A Little Ain't Enough and DLR Band were both better albums that Skyscraper....especially better than Crazy From The Heat (or as you call it, his first LP).

DLR7884
EEAS, ALAE, and DLRBand are his best solo efforts.

I really don't think you compare DLR Band to Skyscraper. His singing is truly diminished in DLR Band.

In order I'd put

DLR Band (ballsy and more CVH sounding)
EEAS (very creative and kick ass)
ALAE (very cool album, but his voice was "parched" on this one)
Diamond Dave ( Hey I love the covers)
Skyscraper (Creative, but too synthetic)
YFLM (Too up and down.-rap to reggae to heavy-still good)
Crazy from the Heat (good for what it was, 4 break through colorful songs)

After all that wait back the, DLR Band was phenomenal...it's a perfect summer album, and I don't care if on some tune his screams weren't there or some song wasn't properly produced, the album kicks too much arse...

and the philosophy - "only adventures that I regret..."

It changed my life, seriously!

just personal opinions. But if you compare CD sales, you'll see where the popularity drops. Its more like CFH, EEAS, Skyscraper, ALAE, YFLM, DLR Band then Diamond Dave.

yeah, the lyrics alone on this album is worth a strong spot at #1.

We weren't talking about singing....we were talking about the album as a whole. Don't change the subject.

DLRBand is a kick ass rock album.

Skyscraper is a synthed-up pop album.

I like rock music, thanks.

Diamond Dave is soooo low on everyones list. :( I love the covers. I think Dave was hoping for a "radio hit" out of one of these goldies. Possibly Shoo Bop or Soul Kitchen. Im surprised shoo Bop got so little play. (if any at all) I know nothing from that album was played here. Fuck the album wasn't even mentioned.

I'm the dipshit, yet NOBODY here has agreed with you.

Compared to DLRBand and ALAE, Skyscraper is like a fucking Lionel Ritchie album, dipshit.

DLR7884
How about you just save face and not respond to this thread anymore, skidmark?

I don't really care for Diamond Dave the album. Other than that I love it all. Musically, EEAS and DLR Band were the best. But his voice was crap on most of DLR Band. Skyscraper and YFLM were both departures from Heavy Rock, but both were fantastic. ALAE is good from beginning to end. Crazy from the Heat is also a departure, and is one of the reasons I fell for dave's music in the first place. His catalog is so varied, I don't know if I could give an accurate countdown of the best.
