While trying to enjoy some good porn last night I kept getting updates every 5 minutes from my wife about the oscars....Who won who lost.WHO GIVES A FUCK?! What do these people really do? NOTHING! For some reason a lot of people have a blind misconception that these wonderful actors mean something. Guess what people are still dying or starving or being abused today, no matter who won the best supporting actor last night. There could be no worse torture than watching a bunch of self centered jackoffs that contribute nothing, blathering on and on about their "craft"

I don't give a shit about those stupid award shows....
It's just an ass kissing festival as far as I'm concerned.
On the news this morning I saw how Chris Rock was making a joke about Jude Law not being a huge star or something....then they showed how Sean Penn had to make a fucking comment on how great Jude Law is.....get a sense of humor you fucks!
These fucking Hollywood folks are the same ones who threaten to leave when someone is elected president that they don't like....ok-then leave, you fucks!

I have to agree with you for the most part, J. While there has been some great, influential, intelligent, educational movies out there; the whole business is thought of too highly.
Why don't they roll out the red carpet and televise the Nobel prize ceremonies? Why aren't people like that our kids' heroes instead of actors or sports figures. Who can even name any?
Most celebrities are fucked up neurotics anyway and not people we should idolize.
The OSCARs blow, and they're so boring. Watch the news the next day if you really care who won.

I don't need the Grammy's to tell me what was the best album of the year. Did VH ever win a Grammy? No. But Whitney fucking Houston did. What does that say? It's a bullshit industry popularity contest. In fact, I hate the Grammys more than any of the other Awards shows. Who judges what's best? And why do half the winners disappear and people don't care about their records within a few years? Because it's all hype.
