I was playing with some friends in the basement of an old retail furniture building when the power went off. No windows or emergency lighting to be had in the big dark cavern. Then it donned on me that the blindingly bright blue Light Emitting Diode on my Eddie Van Halen signature MXR Phase 90 might be a good light source. Luckily I was running it on a 9V battery. I just plugged a small patch chord into the input plug and pressed the On/Off switch and man did it throw the light! Very handy. The dim LED's on most peddles couldn't be used for this. I always wondered why they put that annoying light on that peddle but today I was glad it was there. LOL!
