is it just me, or is the original demo of House of Pain WAY better than the 1984 version? your thoughts

It's not better, it's not worse, but it sure is different! They are 2 totally different songs, and I like them both very much.

I like the Gene Simmons Version and/or the non warner 1977 demo version that car-horns straight into RWTD best.

Is there a version of HOP with a spoken bit at the start where someone is complaining about the noise coming from their neighbor and then it blasts out?

I'm sure I heard something like this at the time in 1985 on the radio, maybe it was a 12" but I've never come across it since.
