Favorite all time TV show ever for me was classic Twilight Zone. All things to this day still stop when it airs.

Deadwood, Sopranos and old Cheers reruns are my favorites.

TV show? For me, "Buffy"! If you haven't at least given it a chance you're really missing some of the wittiest and clever writing ever to be typed or scribbled. The only catch 22 that show faced was not being on a major network to where it would have gotten a larger audience and even so it is a True Cult Classic and is respected by critics and fans alike. Not that critics really count for much but this show has become college level teaching aids for drama and creative writing as well as physcology just like Star Trek. The upside to not being on a major network helped that show in the best way possible. They got away with episodes and storylines that no major network would EVER let air and that to me is why it is so special. A few episodes that primetime on one of the big four that would never have aired for either storyline or jokes that were so fucking un-P.C. they wouldn't touch it.........

"The Body", "Once More With Feeling", "Hush" (no other station would let a 43 min episode fly with only 10 mins of total dialog and still be as groundbreaking as this episode. shoulda won an EMMY but that shitfest The West Wing was the "flavor" of the week) "Earshot" which was filmed before Columbine and was NOT about a kid who was gonna masacre other students but was about a kid ignored and bullied who was gonna kill himself and it had some naughty humor regarding her watcher and her mother from an earlier episode.

Recently read an article in a mag. I believe it was Entertainment Weekly where the question was asked, "What is the best movie based on a tv show and the best tv show based on a movie?" Their answers were, for tv show turned into a movie was "The Fugitive" and tv show from a movie is "Buffy" with nothing else even close. Even MASH wasn't close.
I agree with it. The few who've experienced it know what I'm talking about. Thank GOD and Joss Whedon for TV on DVD! My collection is complete with all 7 seasons. I say, "Grrrr Arghhhh", Farewell!

Just too many to mention.

Alot of the old shitcoms.

The Esther is so ugly zingers on Sanford & Son never get old.

The "Mr. Show with Bob and David" on HBO was probably the most progressive comedy I've ever seen.

The fieldtrip up your grandmas' ass skit had me crying.

UK TV SHOWS

Soccer AM

I'm Alan Partridge

Waking The Dead (you have Cold Csae in America-this started about a decade ago, though)

Cracker

The Young Ones

Up Pompeii

Billy Connolly's World Tour of Scotland

Fawlty Towers

Blackadder

Never Mind The Buzzcocks

Shooting Stars

The Royle Family

USA TV SHOWS

The Simpsons

Two And A Half Men

I would say CSI, but I hate the little shitty one-liners and cheesey lines they throw in. Besides, British crime dramas are more realistic and-ah, shit, what's the word? Erm...you see more blood and shit. Not gorey, because you couldn't really call it gorey. Plus, there's one thing I don't understand- why all the spin-offs?

FLAPPO-IS FILTHY RICH & CATFLAP AVAILABLE ON DVD/VHS? I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT-BUT, I HAVE HEARD REALLY GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG-BUT IT'S THE COMIC STRIP GUYS (RIK MAYALL, ADE EDMONSON, NIGEL PLANER ETC), ISN'T IT?

Yea, but it's not CSI, because of the fact that they are COMPLETELY different characters, so it's not really a spin-off, it's just a similar crime drama. It would be more creative to give it a different name.

British crime dramas have better titles though. Where you have 'Law and Order', we have 'Trial and Retribution', where you have 'Cold Case' we have 'Waking The Dead' etc.
