I translated from french which I tought was identical except for the "e" at the end. But anyway this is a "username" so "i can pretty much spell it any way i freakin please" OK...

So if you have no interest in drums please stay away...there is enough
threads out there with plenty of bitchiness, insults, and idiocies for you to go nuts....

Captitol Records was having a theme party one night. They decided the higher up the floor of the building, the more intelligent the party conversations.

I stepped out of the elevator onto the penthouse, and overheard a conversation on quantum physics.

I went down a few floors and overheard guys talking about Bull Markets

I finally hit the basement and all I heard was........

wait for it

So, what size drumsticks do you use?

All Drummer jokes aside, If you ever meet a really great Drummer.
You know what a valuable asset, they really are..

Our old drummer was excellent. I could literally adlib or write music on
the go, he had a sixth sense and could play right along with anything.
Even if I went off into bizzarre off-beats and crazy timings.

Thats something a drum machine can never do..
I consider drummers like that, true musicians and admire their
abilities.

My brother who some may know on here as Ozzy Fudd plays kick ass drums. He had a set that wrapped around him. Check out his avatar, it's him and his kit.

He has been playing since he was like 4 on pots and pans, graduated to a full wrap around kit. Ludwig and Zyldian, double bass, double kick. Monster kit! He ROCKED, still does... :)

It's good to see a drummer thread.:)

Shit, he changed his avatar. Ah well....there was a thread that had pictures in it of his old band, but I see those are gone too. Here is the link to it....

Susie Q
04-14-2005, 08:45 PM
They actually did some Dio too. A lot of Judas Priest, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, and some of their own stuff. They blew people away!:D

I like how he had the heads to the bass' done up. I wish you could have heard his stuff. I'll tell him about this thread. :)

We do need more drummers to speak up. I had a thread when the original army was up about drums. It has some hits to it.

I know Roy Munson has a kit. That's the only one I remember who would talk about drums that comes to mind.

SusieQ told me do drag my ass over here and post so i guess i better. the pictures were off a tape we made in 1983 i had 14 pc twin kick Ludwig i even made a snare out of a 14 inch tom that i used allot in our other shows it sounded like a cannon when they miked it up i had only 5 mikes when we first started out. by the near to the end of a great ride every drum and cymbals had a mike. the pedals were speed king i used a 14 inch splash as my top hat and a 14 heavy rock for my bottom hat the sound was quite unique. what i sit behind now is a single kick 5 pc with my zildjian ZBT pack and a few other ZBT cymbals and a extra 20" china making it a 12 pc. I don't have the pedal i want but soon i will, the link is http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=perc/search/detail/base_pid/445400/ click on the demo. with what i did bustin my ass with twin kicks they now do with one pedal i might even spring for the double pedal they make. awesome shattttt Well that's about it . Hey Brother Mark How's it Goin? all well i hope.

Welcome Aboard Dude!! ;)

No need to be a full-on drummer.... as long as you spark some interest in the drumming world, and that you have a few cents to blab about the subject.... that's fine with me.....

There's alway been something i've been wondering about.

What happens if a drummer has to shit while on stage?

It'll be pretty hard to hold a beat, and trying and hold it in at the same time. Especially while hitting the bass drum....

If I was a Drummer, I would setup my kit, with a good recording setup.
And sell backing tracks by request on the internet. Theres already dudes doing this. Ive tried a couple.

A good home business oppurtunity..

Well, this is how it works.

I have only used these dudes for cover songs so far. But all I had
to do was send the track I wanted (In this case it was Hell is for
Children - Pat Benatar) to the Drummer. He then records just
the drums for us. And charges us..
Great for jamming along to, or for your own multitrack recording.
There is millions of dudes out there with multitracks/PC's that
hate MIDI, and prefer real drums. KA-CHING !!

The last dude I tried offered the drum track as either an MP3
or as a multi-track recording (so you could actually fuck around
with the drum mix). But I just went for the MP3.. I only wanted
this track to JAM along too...

They also offer to record tracks for original tunes too..
So Im guessing you would have to send your song to the
drummer recorded with a click track.. (For timing purposes)

But Mate, I would be doing this !! (If I was a drummer)

Heres the last dude I tried.. By the way, I wasnt that impressed
with the sound of his kit... (I think one of his toms needed tuning)

http://www.drum-tracks.com/

Gives you a good idea of how you might set it up yourself..

How are you with HTML ??

Panamark
04-29-2005, 01:13 AM
Oh, and I have never been interested in small patterns for looping, I want entire songs :)

Im a lazy fucker..

(Im sure there are more like me !)

If this thread is still alive, does anybody know of a nice drum kit I could get below 900 dollars, including cymbals, hardware, etc. Mine sucks ass.
