I had it on vinyl and picked it up on CD a few years ago. I really dug it back when.
I heard Sign of the Gypsy Queen on the local rock station a few weeks ago during "80s weekend". It brought back memories.

Well...thank god SOMEONE remembers it. I thought I was the only old bastard on this site! ;)

That album came out the same year as Fair Warning. Hard to believe it was that long ago. You are not the only old one by a long shot!

I remember long ago dressing up in my finest pair of acid washed blue jeans with the freakin' lace on them and zippers up the back, the chain belt, and my hair jacked up to Jesus going to all the concerts I could afford in the 80's. :)

I missed the Fair Warning tour....man was I pissed!

I remember "She's a rollah, yeah, a high rollah babay".....

That song wasn't on that record was it?
;)

For some reason this band was kinda like in the same singing vibe as UFO back in the day. That's why I liked them too...

Guess there are only a few of us that were into April Wine. Good stuff.

I've only recently heard their stuff. It gets played occasionally on www.totalrock.com, particularly on a show called Rock Candy.

I like what I've heard but I couldn't tell you the name of anything.

Crocus/Krocus(?) are pretty good too, they're a similar vintage.

Have it, love it, even saw them live back in 1983!

April Wine got some airplay around here (since we're next to Canada and all) but that was probably more in the 70's than the 80's. I remember a few of their songs, but never bought the records.

I had it in the 80s. I still have an early single from 1973 by April Wine. The song "Teacher" backed with "You Shoulda Been A Lady".

I saw them on two headlining tours in the early 80s.

Pretty damned cool!

Their drummer at the time, Jerry Mercer, was already 60 years old when they hit it big. Damn...he must be around 80 by now. He was still playing when they did some reunion tour a few years back....

Yah, I have it on vinyl too. I tried getting most of it off the internet, only was lucky on a few songs.
