Please take a moment to read my conducted interview:

http://nwvault.ign.com/features/interviews/Hickman041305.shtml

It would mean so much to me.

Thanks :)

you are Tracy Hickman, or the interviewer?

Steve Savicki

I am the interviewer

Edgar the Peaceful, sorry, but I refuse to download this. Nothing personal against you, but your game rating for your module is mature and I refuse to play any of those.

I bought Neverwinter Nights as a Teen rated game and I prefer to keep it that way (playing modules that are rated teen, everyone, or below). For those that want to know what I'm refering to,

http://www.esrb.org/esrbratings_guide.asp

Mature stands for "content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language." There's enough of that going on in the real world that I don't need to be reminded about it in a video game.

But I will give you a 10 because it's cool to meet ya!

http://cgi.nwvault.ign.com/systemrate/rating.cgi?file=/modules/1100564755250&thisAction=ViewStats&filename=The%20Lions%20Head%20Tavern&author=Edgar,%20the%20Peaceful','690','500','1','V ote');

Hope you do get into the Neverwinter Hall of Fame. :)

Thank you very much, Steve. I rated the module Mature because there is sex happening in the game, and the language is... well, pretty much what you can read from my posts here. Only better. That said, I understand your reluctance in downloading mature content.

I still have to say, though, give this one a try. Just a try. I promise you, it will NOT let you with a foul taste in your mouth when you're done... in fact, it might be quite the contrary. Violence is almost non-existant, therefore blood and gore are also out of the picture and foul language, I don't remember if I used any... but I don't think I did. In fact, I bet you'll be laffing your arse off in 10 seconds! :D

That said, now that I'm home I'm off to read your interview with the grate writer Tracy Hickman. I'll post the opinion here when I'm done.

DLR7884, what's your problem, bro? Huh? :)

Cheers! :bottle:

Ima, I'm confused, first you say there is sex, and then you say you won't let a foul taste in my mouth... hint... if you have time to revamp, maybe a clean version of your module may be in order.

Anyways, did you see your 10?

EDITED TO ADD: I guess D&D is not DLR7884's thing, but personally, I am very proud of what I've accomplished, especially since a day earlier on Tuesday, April 12th, http://nwvault.ign.com/index2.shtml , I made news of Rick Burton, the man who has the top rated mod on the entire Neverwinter Vault:

http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/modulesTop2.shtml

Yep, "Midnight" is still rated #1!

Well, I'll start this by answering your question. Yes, there is sex. So? How can that leave a bad taste in your mouth - please people, refrain from posting jokes about unwashed vaginas. Actually, the sex part is an option, you have to 'sweet talk' her and everything. Of course, you can just be a jerk, you'll probably end up laffing your arse off anyway. It's hard to explain... it's not that big a download, nor that big a module. Just try it. Trust me. It won't hurt a bit. You can play the whole module WITHOUT sex, violence, blood and gore and foul language. I made it that way. Everything optional. I rated it mature because you have to have a mature attitude towards the whole thing, that's all. Just try it, you'll understand all this better.

As for the interview... GRATE! I ended up knowing a few more things about Tracy, including that he and his wife had written Pharaoh, instantly giving me another module to play. I finished Spires of Ravenloft long ago, and the end of that sucked ass. Why ruin such a grate module just to ruin it with all that religious bullshit? It's like huntin' fer treasure, only to find out the treasure is a Katydid thread... but I digress. I also have to check out their Bronze Canticles stuff. One thing got me curious, though... the question 'Also regarding that thread, what effort(s) do you think a computerized version of Bronze Canticles would require?' was referring to which thread? Can you post a link here? I'd like to read that too.

Cheers! :bottle:

So, you played D&D when you were a virgin, and when you lost it, you said "That game's not for me anymore. I'm no longer a virgin."?

Kewl story. I'll keep playing it, though. :D

Nah. I remember playing it when I was a kid. But mostly because my four-eyed older brother had all the books.

Well, they must be a rarity, now... steal 'em from him and sell him on eBay. Even if you don't get much, you still make money.

Unfortuately, my dad threw 'em out back when the whole DUNGEONS & DRAGONS POSSESSES KIDS scare happened in the 80s. Remember the case of the kid who strangled his own brother because he thought he was a goblin? Well, my dad threw the books out because of it.:p

Well, Rogues are basically... thieves. They spot traps, disarm them, open locks, pick pockets, etc... stop me if I'm being too geeky. :D

Matt, d'you still play in 2nd? Move on to 3.5, bro. Much easier. Oh, Call of Ctulhu, anyone? Ok, NOW I'm being a geek. Still, Lovecraft rules.

Yeah, it seems the Church had this problem with the game because it had Daemons in it, and whatnot...Plus it involved killing them. I can see how this goes against the Curch's point of view...

In which case, D&D can also be interpreted as...
(read slowly and gravely, with German accent) Discipline und Domination.

Steve, I was only joking.

Relax.

Better for you to play D&D than to smoke crack or listen to Van Hagar.

Please apologize to the elf community for my remarks. LOL ;)
