what solo song would you most want Eddie to play in a CVH reuion tour? I'd have to go with "Just Like Paradise"

Probably nothing; there's enough CVH stuff to cover a full set, I'd rather see all Van Halen live, personally. Save the solo Dave stuff for a solo Dave tour. Just me.

Why would Dave play solo songs with VH?

He hardly plays any solo material during his solo tours.

DLR7884
Too many VH songs that need to be played to even consider a DLR solo song, especially one as poppy as "Paradise."

That is a good question. for years we have seen daves guitar players take on evh. So why not turn tables around now.

I would have to go with Steve Vai tunes like Shy Boy and Yankee Rose. I want to see Eddie take those on and see what he can do. that would be fun to watch.

Eddie couldn't handle anything by Vai right now. Shit, the state he's in he can hardly play the songs he wrote anymore.

OK...being forced to choose one or maybe two, I'm going with "It's Showtime" and "Little Texas".

Shyboy would be funny.

Ed's fingers would smoke like a cartoon. LMAO

The thing is, Dave wouldn't let Ed go out on stage and play any song (solo or CVH) if his playing was half-assed.

If history has taught us anything, it's that David Lee Roth has much higher standards than Sammy Hagar. See my fav. Rothism.

Fuck yeah! Right in the middle of "Eruption" break into that jam and then back to "Eruption"!

I could almost forgive EdWad for all the years of bullshit if he did a couple of Dave solo songs. It would mean an acknowledgement on his part that there was some good stuff. Hell, even Joe Perry jams stuff off of "Rock In A Hard Place"!

No cause for VH to play Dave Solo stuff.

But, if they did.

I'd most like to hear Yankee Rose, but Ed would fk it up.

So, maybe A Lil Ain't Enough. I think they could pull that one off.

Really no reason for Ed not to play a few Dave solo tunes if CVH reunited.

Shit, Van Hagar played solo Hagar shit all the time.

Wouldn't want Ed to play any DLR dolo stuff if it meant he would expect Dave to do some Van Halen stuff released post-1984, though.

Too funny about Ed trying to pull off Shyboy and his fingers smoking like a cartoon. Never mind Ed, just to see Mike try and pull off Sheehan's bass parts....hee hee. Even with a pick and a gram of coke, MA couldn't touch what Sheehan can do with two fingers sober.

Gotta agree that don't think I'd want to see a reunited CVH play any Roth solo stuff. Agreed there wouldn't be enough time in the show for CVH to get to all the classic tunes I'd want to hear, never mind anything else.

Yankee Rose, definitely...Although as someone has already mentioned, I'd rather see CVH do exclusively CVH tunes...
