I kinda rank FM ahead of DLR, only for the fact that technically freddie was a better singer, dave could have never done a solo album with an opera singer!

DLR coming 2nd to him is no bad thing....both incredible.

Sexual orientation aside, there's no denying that he was a very colorful, very dynamic frontman. His voice was exceptionally powerful, and he knew how to whip a crowd into a frenzy and mellow it down to a calm, cool even without even hardly trying.

Freddy once busted the floor stand on which his stage mic rested before Queen released their first album; he never missed a beat and went on with the show like it was PART of the show, and in all the years since, his mic was laid on the stage and never sat upright. It's just little things like that that seperated Freddy from the crowd.

He was responsible for writing a lot of timeless Queen hits and he was one hell of a good musician. I'm no fan of man/man action either, but when the topic is solely about dynamic, influencial, all time great rock frontmen, sexuality isn't part of the equation.

Soul Reaper

FREDDIE MERCURY

Without a doubt, everything Bob said. A classically trained pianist, somebody who could write 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and say "Oh, it was nothing, dear", then go off for a good lunch. A god-given voice. A great sense of humour;

FREDDIE-"When it gets boring, I'll give it all up and become a strip artist or something."

INTERVIEWER-"To what music you would strip?" (he was foreign)

FREDDIE-"All the songs I've written!!" (I can imagine Dave saying that!)

If he was such a bad frontman, why did all those experienced performers struggle to deliver his songs at the 'Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert'?

Well, I've seen him perform.

He is possibly the lamest frontman ever. The band were boring, he did nothing and his vocals were shite. He literally just stands there. That's not a frontman. A frontman is DAVE, Freddie, Bon, Halford, Cooper etc. As a frontman, he sucks. HIM, musically, are fine, but live they are complete and utter SHITE. I wouldn't reccommend you waste your paycheck going to see them.

I had trouble keeping my attention on the band. Here is a list of topics I thought about-

1)Dave could sell this place, easily.
2)Russian Tractors.
3)How many chickens can you fit in here if pile them up?
4)I need a piss
5)The intro was unusaully long
6)Should I get a cat? No, I don't even like animals.
7)I think I'll sing some Van Halen in my head.
