They aren't mainstream. Can you even name 20 songs of theirs?

No.

You don't respect them, based on your immature response earlier in this thread.

No need to go on....typing the names of song's after your father's vinyl wasn't my intention for you.

You don't listen to their albums? Your loss.

Hysteria was to Def Leppard what The Black Album was to Metallica.

But calling it the "best Metal/Pop record ever made" is going a bit overboard.

ZZ Top Fandango....

Most peeps nowadays only know them from recent concert appearances, and their keychain-totin, classic car drivin, hot babe drooling MTV videos....

My life was changed forever when I saw them in November of 1976.

They came out and just flat kicked ass!!!

Fandango was recorded at The Warehouse in New Orleans....I think in 1975 or so.

It was a great example of supercharged blooze and boogie-woogie rock.

They are the direct, electrified link to the Blooze of the early 20th century....

Oh, and everyone nedds to have 3 Hendrix albums....

1. Are You Experienced
2. Electric Ladyland
3. Live At The Filmore East

YEAH!

Their first album is pretty cool dumbass Heavy Metal.

Before Blackie started rehashing the same chords and melodies

"I wanna be somebody", "Hellion", "School daze" etc. all great anthems.

There`s no hidden meaning in them songs but who cares?

Sometimes it`s great to just listen to stuff that you don`t have to work out what it really means and simply rock out.

Why am I the only one quoting the goddamn Stooges here? Though I think Rikk would too, I'm always amazed that the Ramones, the Clash, the Sex Pistols will be mentioned, but the Stooges never are...
How come you all have never heard "Fun House" or "Raw Power"?...
Because if you have, then you can but forget about those Ramones, Clash, or Sex Pistols...
There never were other "punks" than the Stooges, IMO. Any other band revendicating the label is forcibly laughable. :)

How come you all have never heard "Fun House" or "Raw Power"?...
Because if you have, then you can but forget about those Ramones, Clash, or Sex Pistols...
There never were other "punks" than the Stooges, IMO. Any other band revendicating the label is forcibly laughable. :)

I was going to!!

Stooges-Funhouse!!!
