Any idea what Ed was using for these two great fuckin' tunes? Everytime I play CGTSNM I get shivers. Sounds like maybe he's playing with a wah for the begin' of the solo, where he reaches a very low sweep. Other than I can hear a nice chorus effect.

Not sure on MWM at all. Any suggestions on how to create those tones and effects?

thanks.

Me Wise Magic is a TransTrem Steinberger and I think he uses a fernandez sustainer for the notes that don't decay.

All I remember about CGTSNM is that he had his guitar tech use a talk box during the leads.

good to know. Thanks. The talk box doesn't surprise me too much, as it's def. a unique sound. I thought a wah, but I know i cant get that sweep and/or tone with mine. ;) Of course Im lucky to sound like Ed of today compared to Ed of 96. :D

sweet. too bad they didn't last together, long enough, to make videos for either song. :(

I would have imagined it to be live. Or at least appeared live ala Panama. Better live though, like the Oakland 3.
