 Rolling Stones are doing a concert in calgary and there charging 200 dollars for one ticket, personally i wouldn't pay that price.....if it was a CLASSIC VAN HALEN(meaning Dave) i'd pay it though.:D

Well, I'm a big fan, but this time the Stones have gone too far. They can stick their current tour in their asses!

Besides, looking how old they are, their main stage- filling customers must be the retired by now. And THEY can afford those prices.

I wouldn't pay $200 for the Stones, either.

Classic Van Halen? Fuck, they could name their own price and be guaranteed to sell out...I'd happily shell out $200 to see it...in fact, I'd probably be willing to hand out up to $1000 for the experience, honestly.

i would too because i never had the chance to see CVH live in the 80's i was only 11 when Dave left.......i'd pay that much to see just Dave!!!!!!then i can see the greatest frontman of all times.

As was I...I found Van Halen in 1984 with Jump and Hot for Teacher, probably the same way you did, so with me, they could virtually name a price and I'd find a way to be there, no doubt.

Same here.

Seen them before and they suck for $70, and standing one half a mile away.

Well if they were in a club, for $7....It WOULD be the greatest R&R band ever.

I heard TOM PETTY on ROCKLINE a while back saying, "Kids, NOBODY is worth paying $200.00 a ticket. NOBODY is THAT good live. Save your money."

I just saw and advert today for GREEN DAY, who are playing BUFFALO's HSBC Arena on Saturday, August 13th.

Ticket Prices: $35 and $45...

WTF is up with these fossil bands that haven't had a hit album in years charging through the nose?

I like to laugh at the people who spend $400 for Fleetwood Mac tickets. Unfortunately, they laugh back at me, because they're inevitably rich and can afford seeing the "Critics Choice" pop rock band, and erego I'm left thinking about how poor I am and how much I really fucking suck as a human being.

Thank ALAN for this site.

Well, many times the bands put the higher price they can put.
E.E.U:U is a wealthy countrie, that´s why they´re killing you with those prices.

See this: I´m from Argentina, a country that has gone trough more depressions than the girls DLR has fucked.
The Last Time I saw Maiden, I paid 35 PESOS (10 DOLLARS)
I saw them last year on Chile, a country with a stronger economy : I Paid 30 DOLLARS.
And A friend of mine who lives in Canada paid 100 DOLLARS!!! (Canadian dollars, for sure) For the same tour!!!.
The Stones put these prices because their managment knows that the american market can spend those 200 dollars (after some drops of crying, for sure!)

The Rolling Stones can charge that much because they are one of the few bands around that can fill an entire fucking stadium (Fed Ex Field).

I can't think of many others this day in age that can fill a 50,000-100,000 seat venue--maybe U2, definately Pink Floyd if they got back together.

DLR7884
That said, I wouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for fucking nosebleed seats.

Hi Can girl! :)

I dig a few Canadian bands, like Blackfoot or Jeff Healey. Bob Charlebois too, but you may not know him as he's from Quebec. He was on the train that crossed Canada in 1970 (history :D ) with Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin.
I'm fond of "Witchi Tai To", one of Charlebois's songs which I think is a traditional song (half "Indian", half English). No connection with the Stones, sorry.

Anyway, if they really play in Hyde Park again (as it is said they will... on my birthday :) ), I'll be there... for $100 maximum.

The only way I'd go see the Stones is if I had a time machine and went back to 81 at the Rose Bowl when VH opened for them.

Honeymoon Suite? Oh My God!!!! Ok, that explains a lot but holy cow!!! They are a typical 80's pop band and you give Sammy hell!! Loss of credibility. I would think that most Rothtards here would not stand for the kind of crap that a band such as Honeymoon Suite would put out...I mean, Waves babies lieing in the sand...??

honeymoon suite has alot of good song you jackass!!!!!!!!don't compare them to spammy fagar sre they had some pop songs but so did Daves skyscraper album and i likr that album the reason i dislike spammy so much is because VH has always been a hard rock band until that little asshole(sammy) came along........the band went from "i'm gonna fuck your girlfriend," to "why can't this be love" honeymoon suite was always a pop style band it never changed, i don't mind ballads that's not why i don't like sammy it's because he takes the credit for VH and he came into the band bashing Dave and he didn't even kno him pluss he's a fuckin' lier he thinks he sold more records then Dave bullshit he did..........fuck sammy hagar the lyin' SOB Dave forever BAM that Thorman now get back in the pen!!!!!!!! i feel much better now that i got that off my chest.

I guess if it was the *LAST* ever Stones gig.. It would be justified..
But those fuckers never retire..

When they finally do the last tour, I think they should get Bill
Wyman back onboard..

I never really cared for the Stones, so I probably wouldn't even spend 60 bucks to see them.

But 200 bucks?? Sorry. No.
