Van Halen II or Diver Down

since we're on the topic of VH albums i was wondering what album you prefer DD or VH II my fav is VH II because it has "dance the night away," on it, all though all the six pack kicks ass DD also has a lot of great songs that are my favorite....so this was a tough one, your thaughts pleaz!!!!!!!!!!:)

DIVER DOWN is the first VAN HALEN I bought myself.

VAN HALEN II is also a FUCKING CLASSIC.

gotta go with vh2. Diverdown did nothing for me. there were a couple of good songs,but not near as good as vh2.

I love em both, 3 of my ALL TIME favorite VH tunes are on DD: Secrets, Little Guitars and The Full Bug. HOWEVER: Van Halen II, overall is better.

I couldn't agree more. Love Diver Down with a passion! When I crank The Full Bug in my truck full blast i go fucking crazy. I get chills up and down my spine. But II is just so in your face, rocks so fucking hard and these boys were so on top of their game then. From first track to last, a complete gem of what rock is suppose to be. Don't even get me started on Fair Warning. (great topic)

VHII was better overall, but hey, I even liked 'Dancing in the Streets' from DD!

A side note. I think most people agree that DD was the weakest of the six-pack, but look at it this way, it was still a pretty good album!

CVH is like pizzas, some are better than others, but I've usually enjoyed every one I ever had. :)

(some people like to use that analogy for sex too, btw)

Just overall the mellowest..

Some are turned off by the covers...

I think it's just the fun side, doobie smoker album.

And the burners on it, well....

Full Bug and Hang em High are about as balls out as VH got.

It's a great album.

Not to take anything away from II. It is to me a looser version of I. Everything on that album is smokin hot.

II is the least played classic album in my house.

Loved both, really...I mean, who wouldn't?

Intruder, all the covers, Hang 'Em High, Little Guitars and The Full Bug...FANTASTIC!

But the edge has to go to VH II.

I love every song on this album...But ESPECIALLY alltime classics like D.O.A., Spanish Fly, Dance the Night Away and the ultimate DLR trademark jam...BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!!

Can't go wrong with any of the 6-pack, but relatively speaking, VHII beats out DD at the finish line.

VHII has a very raw and dirty tone just like I like my bitches. DD is a little more polised like the slut next door type. But thats also a good thing too.

If you had asked me this about a month ago I would automatically say VHII because I had only listened to DD once but now that I like DD more I'd say it's pretty even. VHII has some of my favorite VH songs though, so I guess I pick VHII.
