What's the song of your life? The one that makes you feel like in your own garden for PERSONAL reasons?

For example, mine is King Crimson's "Red".
Every time I feel bad I play the album ("Red"), then I feel like much, much better while still feeling bad.

What is the song that won't leave you alone for long and comes back at regular times, whatever the reason? :)

Talk shit if you must.....

"Santa Monica" by Everclear is one great fuckin song.

Not the song of my "life", but if not for VH, it might be my fav rock cut.

It's gonna sound odd, but...

Yes - "If Only You Knew".

Very personal song for me, for a lot of reasons...heard it the first time and that was it, it's been with me in my collection ever since and rarely a week goes by that I don't listen to it at least once.

Anything by Manowar... can't pick one song, I love all of them. And if by some reason I'm sick of Manowar, then Helloween - any song, any line-up - usually does it for me.

Cheers! :bottle:

I think therefore I am, familiar to most?
How long did we eat the seed planted by our host?
4 billion years between our ears
still hatred brings us many tears
Still we judge each other...
Why when we're only looking for the same high?

Grind time for old misconceptions.
Roll out new scenery as per suggestion.
Won't salute you. Won't desert you.
Won't be a prisoner of assumption anymore.

Does language define us? Is reality... words?
How far do we appear to be...
is the measure of... scope. But...
with our junkie soul, we face the need,
of nature's planned dependency.
Don't hold contempt for ecstasy
just... mourn the dead... on the (national) screen,
mourn the dead... on the screen, mourn the dead...
on the screen, mourn the dead... while they scream!!!

Grind time for old misconceptions.
Roll out new scenery as per suggestion.
Won't salute you. Won't desert you.

Turn another turn!

Turn another turn!

Don't need persuading by the status quo.

We can make changes.
If we open up we'll see... the history they sell us
holds the structure firm, reinforce the mold.
We need to strip it all away....
and let the sp00L turn, turn,
another turn,
another turn.
Watch it turn, watch it turn. What we'll learn.

Grind time for old misconceptions.
Roll out new scenery as per suggestion.
Won't salute you. Won't desert you.

Turn another turn!
Turn another turn!
sp00L
Turn another turn!

Push away what they're selling me,
realize what we need to be.
Focus on a strategy to
open up our minds and then,
together... turn another turn.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I'd stare too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine

The hottest song from Guns N Roses without question
am i right in thinking it was written about erin everly or something like that

The one that makes it best in my good times: J. Geils Band's "Ain't nothin' but a house party". Pure fury adrenaline.
Here's a glimpse. A little cheap, for it's just a piece of the beginning. I didn't find anything better.

Seargent Pepper's last song. A haunting tune.
One of my favorite French composers got much of his inspiration in this particular song.

You can listen to (too) short extracts here (album "Talents du siècle", green sleeve):

Check out number 8 above all, though it's really too brief.
