Well...

Ozzy to me put out more or less consistant efforts, Black Sabbath or not, up until 1988...

Now Alice, on the other hand, had more or less consistant efforts (even through the low-grade 80s fare...Prince of Darkness, all that, there was always something worth finding somewhere along the road)...

I haven't really heard anything out of Ozzy that I've liked, at all, since "No Rest for the Wicked".

Alice has had some relatively better success on my scale with his later albums (which I've heard soundbytes of back and forth, and found myself more or less enjoying).

"Dirty Diamonds", Alice's next album, has some good, positive buzz to it so far...I doubt Ozzy will ever do anything (save another Sabbath album) that I'll enjoy...

Are they both watered down versions of themselves? Sure. Who's not after as long as they've been in the game? But...overall, at this stage, I'd say Alice has the most playability for me, more than Ozzy does anyway. On a classic album basis solely, Ozzy will win every time, as Alice hasn't been 'ALICE COOPER', per se, since 1975 or so anyway.

I really think Alice owes it to the original band to do another album with them, or tour based on the classic material...something.

back in his prime Ozzy was probably my second favorite frontman (Dave is first of course) but now probably Alice Cooper!!!!! Ozzy seems to have slowed down alot....not for the better though:rolleyes:

In Alice's case, more like 30 years. Alice Cooper INVENTED the term "sell-out". In any case, here are four reasons why Alice Cooper (the solo artist) sucks more than Ozzy Osbourne:
