We Finns are lucky at the moment.

I know everything can be downloaded or bought on DVD nowadays, but one of the national cable channels is treating us well this summer: they just started showing the X-Files from the very beginning!

The first time this show was aired on TV - their timing for a show like this was perfect, partly politically, and also because the technology was taking huge steps at that time. The athmosphere was there already!

The stories were well written, and even though there was no useless romances or other soap in the show, the main characters were interesting enough, Mulder as some kind of a believable geek who still managed to get things done, and Scully as the "hot enough" sidekick. Also, the main story of Mulder's search for his lost sister and all the conspiracy theories went nicely along with the whole storyline, every now and then there were episodes about the big national conspiracy considering UFO's. Plus the characters like the smoking man (what was his name?) and their tight boss suited well.

For me personally, the show reached it's peak during, was it 6th season, where they found those wagons full of alien bodies in the middle of the desert...

Many other cool episodes as well, also some of the "one episode stories too"

And yeah, once again, who can honestly blaim he didn't want to bang Scully at some point of his TV viewing career?

Share some of your best X-Files memories here.

The one set in the carnival town, the little boy that could see the future episodes and the chicken/voodoo episodes really stand out.

I was a huge fan, and thought that they could've done much better with the movie than what it was.

Enjoy them...ALL...the truth is out there.

I was watching the show regularly went it first aired...almost every episode...but it went on for so many years that I don't really remember much anything about these first seasons.

I'm thrilled!

X Files was a really great show, especially the first six seasons...after that, well...eh...but it ended on a strong note, I thought.

They're making the sequel to the movie now, right?

I don't have any info on that, I'm afraid.

Hmm. Well...um...hmm.

I like the old Scully better, but I'd still invade her gully, either way :)

Whoa! Lookin' a bit harsh there.

Let's hope it's the lighting...

Seriously I LOVED the fuckin' X-Files. Used to watch it religiously.

I really enjoyed the carnival episode too, with that dude who had the crossword puzzle tattoo all over his body.

Also thought it was cool how the alien bounty hunter would morph into different people. I think that the X-Files was the first show to really use that technology to any great extent. And that shit was really expensive, too. I think I read somewhere that it cost like $10,000 per second of "morphing."

I could go on and on. I do own a couple of the seasons on VHS box set. You've got me jonesin' to break those out!

I like her in that new photo.

No airbrushing, and a little slutty, "cutting glass" etc.

Yup - more grate news: After the X-Files, the channel shows Conan O'Brien, after that, South Park...and after that...THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK!!!

BADABING!!!

Matt...you are absolutely right!!

The episode was titled "Home"...and it is no longer shown on broadcast TV here in the states.

The episode was actually set in rural Pennsylvania........which scares me because I'm from Pennsylvania!

I can't hear that fucking Johnny Mathis song "Wonderful, Wonderful" without the image of those mutant fuckers in the old Cadillac beating the shit out of that cop and his wife...

Pretty chilling shit!
