OK...Sandberg in the hall is questionable...even though he is...I think he should be in...but there are many factors which may lead people to say he shouldn't be in...

but...

he comes out and says Manny Ramirez SHOULDN'T ever get into the hall because he has played nearly half his games at Fenway...

um...

Ryne you idiot...since he's been a Red Sock...he's batting something like .325 on the road...with nearly as many dingers as he's had in Fenway...

and...psst...

Sandberg...

you played at Wrigley...

Ryne needs to wake the fuck up...

Now if you said Manny shouldn't get in because he plays baseball like a chick getting hammered in the ass by a ballbat...

well...then you'd have some creedance...

sandberg should shut up because didnt he use a corked bat? or something like that

No, Sandberg never used a corked bat.

He was a better all-around player than Ramirez is. I'll give him that.

Athletes say stupid shit all the time.

Look at Shaquille O'Neal for a good example.

Sandberg was a better all-around player than Ramirez?

Yes, he was a better fielder...

but Ramirez' offense was/IS VASTLY better than Sandberg...no comparison...

War...you've said far more stupid shit than Shaq...

Manny Ramirez in the field makes Lonnie Smith look like a Gold Glover...

I've said stupid shit yes, but it will never be as public as the hum dingers he's said. Not that it has anything to do with ME. We were talking about athletes saying stupid shit, not sales reps that talk politics on a Roth forum.

Yes, Sandberg was a better all-around player.

Sandberg:

Defense: A
Batting: B-
Baserunning/Stealing: B+

Manny:

Defense: C
Batting: A
Baserunning/Stealing: D+

You are thinking of Sosa, not Sandberg.

no i would have to be a retard to mix that up

Warham

Well, Sandberg didn't do anything wrong. He's as clean as a Sunday preacher.

Manny

Baserunning-F
Hitting-A++
Fielding-D (only because he has a cannon for an arm)

Again...Manny's batting very often carries his team...in ways that Sandberg couldn't even dream of...

Manny will be a worthy first ballot HoFamer

War...you really are bent on Shaq...aren't you...

wow...

Manny's a HOF for sure, but my favorite players have always been five tool guys.

Na, I'm giving Shaq good treatment compared to what some folks, like John Kerry, got last year. :D

If Kobe left the Lakers last year, he'd be inciting my wrath as well.

By the way, when is LeBron coming out to LA? Larry Brown might do a trade with ole LA. heh

1 more year...and he's all yours...

I know Kobe would get creamed...lmfao...you are an equal opportunity basher...

I've never heard Sandberg compared to a five-tool guy...

he's a tool...I'll give you that...

I hate Manny by the way...

but I think when you are OVERTLY good in one area...mainly...all offensive categories...

it overcomes being slightly above average in a bunch...

there are many...many players with stats similar to Sandbergs that will never...ever make it into the hall...

I like Sandberg by the way...I'm just saying that BEING a 2nd baseman makes him a hall of famer...

Warham

I can give you that. Joe Morgan wouldn't be a HOF either if he played the outfield.

Shit, it's fucking hard for my favorite athlete of all-time, Andre Dawson to get in the HOF and he's got 2,700 hits, 438 homers, and 1591 fucking RBI, plus 314 steals and 503 doubles. What's a guy gotta do?

POJO_Risin

Dawson should be in the hall...

many should...

but like Morgan and Sandberg...2nd base isn't as easy a position as many think...but not as hard a SS or 3B...

I think Ron Santo should be in the HOF as well.

Can you tell I'm a Cubs fan?

:D
