CAT SCRATCH FEVER! Man That Song Kicks Major Ass. Anyone else seen the live video with him in it for Cat Scratch Fever. Thats like his equivlent of Oakland '81. Very Good Video, that was when he was at his best. Pantera did an amazing cover of Cat Scratch Fever it rivals the original.

Somewhere between "High Enough" and my taint.

Plus he's an ultra conservative PSYCHO.

to me, he's one of the best, as a guitarist and also as a song writer.

:D Yeah! Maybe my all-time fav' rock track.
The Nuge might have weird political beliefs, but IMO he's one of the top ass kickers in rock history.
"Craveman", his latest (2002) is a bonfire. Big riffs, big sound as I dig them, and still those hilarious lyrics...

Nugent's politics to one side, he's just never really done much for me in terms of his music.

His voice irritates me. His lyrics are just standard fare. Far as his playing, he does have a degree of talent. Guess he was considered a fairly speedy player back in the mid to late 1970s. When I think of my favorite guitar players, or even just good players in general, he's never entered my mind.

one of rock's great maniacs, I would put him in the top 20 guitarists of all time, he is a lot better than most of the candy-asses on most people's top 10 lists

He's a very good and highly underrated guitarist.

I made this thread once about how his hunting expedition got de-railed by El Nino and he ended up in Cabo instead of Chile.

Oddly enough, he mis-took sammy hagar for the grate shite buffalo and nailed the sonofabitch with a COMPOUND BOW!

The come uppance was after he had the sonofabitch taxidermied and hung on his wall, people just laughed at it and were like, "goddamn nuge, when the fuck did ya hunt on the island of Dr. Moreau?"

It was a shitty thread, but I laughed out loud @ it.

Animal Murdering and politics aside, I can honestly say Ive never
heard a Ted Nugent song that I like. Cat Scratch Fever is lame.
His riffs and solos are uninspiring. To me anyway..

Id almost have to say Sammy is a better guitarist..
(Let me emphasize "almost")

I don't care of his personality at all.
the only thing I can say is that I can't drive without his music.

I know why plants bleed do you.
If a shark swam up and bit you then proceeded to eat you
would you call him a murderer
would you say that i am a murderer if i ate that shark
I am not calling you out just want to know why its murder

Ted certainly isn't one of the greatest guitarists, but he's a great riff writer

You obviously never heard 2003's "Craveman". That CD is fucking killer. The first two songs alone are worth buying it to hear.
