If i have a link to a web site and am listeing to background music
or i am playing a sample tune all i can save is the link to that
tune.Even my temp files are the link. i have even loaded it to disc
i keep thinking if it hear its in my comp.the file is( swf file ext.)
ive tried w/ real player, sonic stage cannot save the tune its self

I must assume you are talking about streaming audio.

There are several programs out there for recording streaming audio.

Your best bet is to do a google on "Saving Streaming Audio".

Here is another clue. That file you downloaded, open in in notepad or wordpad. THe file is typically just a redirector file, and opening in wordpad can sometimes give one a clue as to the actual file location.

The above is pretty much regarding real format stuff.

Sounds like you have a Shockwave Flash file (that is a .swf file format).

You would have to get a decompiler to disassemble the file itself to extract the audio, or....if nothing else, get a program for recording audio, and just hit record when you are going to listen to that music. Then save it as a .wav file or .mp3 and you will be all set.
