You know...I love Golf...love playing...love watching...been to the Master's practice round twice...and heading to my first US Open tomorrow and Sunday...

Pinehurst #2...I've walked the course...beautiful course...and murdurous...

Payne Stewart won it here in 1999....

This year?

My pick? I think Mickelson...but it's a hell of a leaderboard...and the course is going to toughen up...Even will win this thing...and the weather will be surprisingly mild...in the 70's over the weekend...so who knows...

Adam Scott is my pick,it's about time an Aussie won a major.

Interesting story...

Corey Pavin played round 1 early this morning...flew home to California to see his son Graduate...and is flying back right now...for round 2...

he tee's off at noon tomorrow I believe...

He's at +3...would be a good story to see him make a run...he won this thing 10 years ago at Shinnecock...at least I think he did...

Adam Scott is a great player...

here's the leader board to +4's...

I'm thinking there will be more +'s after tomorrow...

Good to see Freddie Couples playing well again at +1...still my favorite golfer...

I think Scott went bogey on the 17th/18th which soured his round a bit.
Goosen obviously had a good round.

Woods went bogey/bogey on 17 and 18 as well...

They'll all be falling back...trust me...there will be lots of bad...bad scores on this course...

You attempted to get any greens passes ??

Always available my friend....

[[ That didn't come out right.... ]]

Just got back from a morning at the Open...

yeah Va...I got a greens pass from one of the parents of one of the kids at work...he had an extra...

I followed fucking Mickelson this morning...my awesome predicted winner...and he paid me off with a shitty performance...he looked horrible...

I think he had 5 or 6 bogies while I was watching...not sure where he ended up...

home now watching the kids...looking forward to papa's day...where I'm going to stay all day...if the weather holds...

man is that a beautiful course...

followed Vijay for a bit...he was steady...

Furyk...love watching his fucked up swing...also looked decent today...

Followed Adam Scott for a bit...got his autograph...was weird getting his autograph seeing he's 10 years younger than me...but if you want it Bomber...I can send it to you...

I followed Freddie for a bit as well...and he was struggling...but making some pars...saw him make a bogie...but he was still close to par...I think +2 when I left...

Daly...man...I love watching his swing...I never watched him play a complete hole...but he was +1 for the day I think while I was watching him...

Colin Montgomerie was there...getting heckled...and he was +3 or 4 for the day while I was watching him...

Missin' Tiger...who's just tee'ed off I believe...but watched him for a bit at the range...had about 10 people with him it seemed like...doing all kinds of shit...his coach was holding his head while Woods was taking full swings...pretty impressive stuff...was completely separate from everyone else...

Retief is playing a different brand of fucking golf...he's -5...everyone else is moving backwards...

My buddy and I followed him for an entire round during the Kemper Open in '93, during his prime....

Unfuckingbelievable how long he hits it....

Christ...he was a young'in in '93...when he won the PGA...late 20's I think...

I met him at Hooters last year at the Masters...

They had a tent set up outside hooters where they were giving away all kinds of shit...

and he was there signing...

Thanks for the autograph offer Pojo, don't worry about it though mate.
I actually usually head out for a day when the Australian Open is on so I get to see these guys play down here all the time.
Scott will win a major at some stage,he seems to have both the game and temprement to do so.
Hensby went pretty good, which was aq surprise to many down here.
It wasn't that big a surprise that Campbell won,Tiger has never sormed home to win his majors he's always been out in front.
A couple of years ago Campbell was cleaning up every tournament down here and I always wondered why he wasn't doing so well in the Majors.
Good on him anyhow,great win.

He played great...I followed him a bit on the back because following Tiger 2 holes ahead was damn near impossible...

followed Tiger on the front though...and damn...that guy is steely...but...he was smiling a bit here and there...perhaps fucking a hottie has lightened him up a bit...

but you could get a sense at the course that it was Campbells to win...

I don't know how this translated on TV...haven't watched the tape yet...

but I think I was following Campbell on...17 green...and a HUGE roar came from 18...later found out...actually...pretty soon after through the gallery...that Woods mad a putt for birdie...I didn't realize at the time that Woods was only at 2 over...I was thinking 1 over...perhaps even par...to tie for the lead...couldn't see a leaderboard...don't know if Campbell knew...

but a couple of minutes after Woods drained that putt...Campbell drained a 20 footer for birdie...won him the tournament...put him three up...

I don't know if it was televised...but Campbell was crying pretty hard and talking about what it means to win an Open where Payne won his last major...

Just a class individual...

Met Bob Costas today as well...still think he's a dick though...and a short little fucker...

I was standing at the back of 18 after Campbell won...couldn't see the hole...

but Steve Williams...Tiger's caddie...came out of the scorers tent...room...whatever you want to call it...and congratulated his fellow Kiwi...thought that was a class act from a guy who's generally a dickhead around Woods...

Don't know if they showed that or not...

You should see these fucking greens up close...they looked like fucking rolling hills...I have no fucking clue how golf balls stick on those greens...

and at the end of the tourney...the wind was fucking blowing harder than hell...felt like a British Open...

Freddie Couples was signing autographs after his round...I was standing pretty close to where he was signing...and some kid said,

"Fred, did you hurt your back, you know, doing something other than golf?"

Fred laughed...and said, "I wish..."

Now that's the shit that needs broadcast...
