I love the story that Stephen Fry told about the Queen Mother recently that Prince Charles had told him.

A few years back her TV broke down and she was brought another so she could keep watching the horse racing. Her servant sat with her and explained that the new TV had a thing called a remote control which would allow her to just press a button to change channels or the volume.

After listening attentively for a while she said "it's all very nice but I think it will be easier if I just keep using the bell".
