The father, son and the Holy Ghost
Took the last train to the coast
They were moving fast, they were raising sand
They were running wild in the promised land

The father, son and the three wise men
Operating undercover out in Bethlehem
Will they heal the sick? Can they raise the dead?
Can they bring it on home like the good book says?

Billy the Kid told the Prince of Thieves,
A little give and take to satisfy my needs
You can give me lots but I'll take some more
I got my eyes on your treasure beneath the desert floor

Freedom fries and burns and scars
The liberator goes too far
Freedom fries and screams and yells
The promised land is promised hell

Don't have it yet, but now I'm starting to think I should chack it out. A little more substance to this than his 80's formula of sampling his own old stuff into a dance pop song and writing cornball lyrics over it (see "Tall Cool One")

About the only thing on the album I miss is Page's riffage. I still think WALKING INTO CLARKSDALE was a really under-rated and excellent record, lyrically and musically.

But the work here is really thought-out. The acoustic stuff is great. FREEDOM FRIES is a cool song...a sort of modern BLACK DOG. Really good album.

Did anyone hear his last cover album "Dreamland". It was pretty damn good.

Also, I got "Fate of Nations" a few months ago and couldn't stop listening to it.

Fate Of Nations is the underrated one IMO....

The Greatest Gift is totally cool soul.
