I can't believe Titanic was first.

I think the most exciting for me on that list was Jurassic Park...I was 11...and remember being so excited about that movie.

Ghost Busters (1984)
Ghostbusters II (1989)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
Saturday Night Fever (1977)

those are the movies I lived on back in my childhood. I have this urge to go watch the Little Mermaid now.

Oh Ally! Too bad you don't live in Knoxville. I own it! You could come over and we could eat popcorn and remember what it was like to go to swimming pools every summer as a kid after that movie, pretending you were Arial.
hehe :)

Did you do that...or was it just me?

I did do that! I thought I was the only one! I have the tape, too. The original one they had done cuz the tower looked like a penis. And I have The Little Mermaid II. What I'm looking forward to most is finally getting myself a copy of Cinderella when it's re-released this fall.

You got great fucking taste, brother. Kubrick is awesome (especially 2001 and THE SHINING). Coppola made my second favorite film ever (APOCALYPSE NOW), plus the GODFATHERs and THE CONVERSATION. ARGENTO is a genius (SUSPIRIA, INFERNO, DEEP RED, TENEBRE). SCORSESE made GANGS OF NEW YORK, GOODFELLAS and plenty of other brilliant works. Carpenter is my favorite director of all time. THE FOG, THE THING, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK...and my very favorite (and can be seen in my sig): ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13.

KIROSAWA is awesome.

I still have to see ANNIE HALL.

EASTWOOD is the shit.

I love it. The humor is very fucked-up (which I like) and also intelligent. It's funny, but half the jokes I didn't get as a kid and now I'm laughing twice as hard when I see those movies (or shows).

But hey, it's not for everybody.
